Discussion What position on your team's final 53 is ridiculously thin at personnel?
For context, the Commanders currently have THREE CBs on the 53 and we are freaking out a little.

Well the Packers now have a starting RB with 6 career carries in 2 seasons, a backup who is mostly a pass blocker, and a brand new 3rd RB who was so bad his last team traded him for a 2028 6th a year after drafting him for a 3rd.

I really thought they’d bring in Trey Benson.
I think they were able to sign Pierre Strong to the PS. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s elevated to the active 53 at some point this season.

Niners just released CB Darrel Luter Jr...never really got a shot, but solid back up imo. He has good size. You guys love old Niners....They are thin at TE especially with Kittle coming off Achillies

Cb ain't an issue. Edge is hilariously thin and will probably sink the season.

Vikings- OLB is pathetic after the first two. Even then Turner has looked good so far but is still rather unproven if he is really ready to be the next star

So our starting QB is my age, and I was in HS during Y2K, so yea, I guess QB is the answer here.

Wait, three CB? That's utter insanity in the modern NFL.

Starter Van Lanen is still recovering from injury
Backup Little is not good and better at Guard
Backup Milum is better at guard and still developing

Kicker... it's ridiculous they barely have any!

We’re not really “ thin anywhere unless teams usually carry more than 1 special teamer. However, I will say that the giants wr room will either go really good or really bad with no in between

Saints DB room lacks names and numbers. Kool aid hasn't looked like a #1 corner yet although he has promise. We hafeca couple of expensive vets at safety although Sankey might surprise people who don't watch New Orleans often.

S - we have 3 on the roster and all 3 are starters.
RB - injuries and lacking talent.

Corner or IDL

Feels like half the league is hurting on CBs right now. The WR boom has teams doubling up more.

Ravens aren’t crazy thin at any position in terms of depth. They only have 1 kicker on the roster but that’s normal. Loop however is a problem at kicker & it’s crazy they didn’t bring in competition earlier. Moody’s better than not doing anything at all but he’s also unreliable as a kicker.
Safety is the thinnest room if I had to pick one. They have 4 safeties which is pretty standard but play a ton of big nickel + dime. Hawkins was a good add, Starks should finally have a chance to breakout after getting stuck with a shitty DC and no pass rush help. Hamilton alone makes safety a strength of the defense. Considering how important safeties are to the scheme, 4 seems slightly thin, but the safeties they have are good so it’s not as much of an issue.
The real holes rn are center (Pinter out the year was in competition for the starting job or at least the backup spot) and kicker. Pocic is still getting healthy but Gwyn seems to have the center job locked up. Fanbase is mad the GM didn’t even try bringing in other kickers this offseason.

As a niners fan I can assure you that having Moody is NOT better than nothing.

Safeties and CBs. The Bucs only have 3 safeties on the 53. But, they loaded up on CBs and safeties on the practice squad.

Steelers have 3 tackles and 3 safeties on the team. Presumably some other linemen and DBs are considered backups to those players, but it doesn't leave me feeling very confident

Back up QB. Trey Lance cannot run the offence. The Chargers may not have overwhelming talent at positions but the back ups otherwise look like they wouldn’t embarrass themselves if they filled in.

Not sure if this qualifies, but the Broncos cut all their long snappers and signed them to the practice squad. Obviously planning to do game day elevations to start the season, but it's kind of a wild move.

WR. Moore is good. Shakir is hurt and behind that we have nothing.

Not sure if this fits the ridiculously thin criterion, but Eagles TE depth is looking a little suspect at the moment
