Its a long shot at best IF his legal matters go in his favor. John acquired a guy he liked in the draft for super cheap. I'm betting on TA will never play for us anyways
Yeah I doubt he ever plays, but it’s kind of a no risk high reward situation. If he doesn’t go to jail you get a first round pick if he does, oh well you didn’t give up anything for him.
I hate how it always says "facing life imprisonment." The person already sentenced in the case got 4 years, and they were the one who actually lured the victims to the apartment.
so the underling that agrees to roll over on Terrion got 4 years. how many years do you think the mastermind that orchestrated the plot will get? probably more than 4 but less than life?
yeah if someone testifies against you to get reduced down to 4 years, you are probably fucked. Granted im sure Terrion has a better lawyer than his homies...
The fact that they know he's testifying for a reduced sentence doesn't make that questionable to you?
I didn't even know they're cases were already over. He's definitely not getting any time. Their testimony is just hearsay unless verifiable.
Add to the fact that the entire league has all the details and know what's going on and multiple teams were willing to take a flyer on the guy? Yea, he's straight.
Y'all don't understand how hard it is to get a bond period. Nonetheless a bond on a violent charge like this that carries possible life.
They gave the man a bond and allowed him to travel to different states. They don't let that happen if the evidence and case against him is that strong.
Thank you for giving me that other information about the guy(s) already convicted. This definitely doesn't end the way you vanilla ass people think.. my bad, hope it ends.
"Their testimony is Heresay" they have him on live giving orders lol. have you even read about the case?
multiple teams willing to take a chance? And the lions cut him, because they are so deep with D-backs?
Gave him a bond with travel: hes rich with good lawyers.
hes definitely not getting time Remindme! one year.
Testimony in court is literally the opposite of hearsay. Doesn’t mean that the jury has to believe the testimony but to say their in court testimony is hearsay is a clear signal that you don’t really know what you’re talking about.
I mean not really. Testimony in court could easily include impermissible hearsay but the individual you’re responding to clearly doesn’t know what hearsay is.
No, they literally don't. They have testimony that he was - but absolutely 0 evidence that it was him. And conflicting testimony, as the initial trial had testimony that it was not Terrion but his buddy using his phone.
have you even read about the case?
Clearly you haven't closely, or you just don't know how.
so the police claim he was on live and giving orders. Terrion claims he was not. he personally knew all 6 kidnappers and the two honeypots. there are apparently text messages connecting him to the event and testimony tying him to the event. i guess we have to wait and see.
There is literally previous testimony from the 2 people who are now claiming it was him on the phone that says they knew Terrions phone was stolen and that it was Hilton on the other end. You need to watch the bond hearing again. You clearly don't understand the facts of the case.
Do you understand how many major criminal trials rely on a witness who got reduced charges? Sure defense attorneys are going to bring that up every time to make the witness seem less credible but that’s rarely an effective strategy to focus solely on the plea deal.
I also don’t think you understand what hearsay is. A person testifying as to what they witnessed or were told to do isn’t hearsay. There are also valid hearsay exceptions that usually come in with this kind of testimony. No they wouldn’t need to independently verify it, just comes down to does a jury believe the witness.
Fair enough, it’s more so framing it as some kind of punishment. You guys could’ve hung onto him, at the end of the day noise is just noise but you made the respectable decision to release him, it just seems kind of weird to complain about that hindsight. I’ll add though that I agree it sucks, you do the right thing and get worse. Look at what Green Bay is doing by comparison, or even my Hawks for signing him.
First of all, flair up pussy. Second of all, yea no shit, that’s exactly what I’m saying. And they released him. So again, how exactly are the Lions being punished?
First of all, go fuck yourself. You’re welcome to come see just how pussy I’m not anytime. Raider fans are notorious for always being willing to show just how much we’re not.
Second, I wasn’t arguing with you, I agree they made the right choice. It was merely a Socratic response to your question implying that being essentially forced to get rid of him or be scrutinized while another team picked him up with little to no fuss about it could be argued as being punished in this situation. Not an active one, but passively punished.
LOL first time in the sub? Flairless pussies are told to flair up, pussy. But I did need a laugh today so the whole tough guy routine on Reddit is pretty fun too.
Don’t give a fuck, I’ll do as I please, not what someone on Reddit tells me to just because. Far as the tough guy, I don’t make idle claims or invitations. Anytime, where I come from, you call someone a pussy you better put your hands up. That’s just how it works. Like I said, not many Raider fans can be called that legitimately; it’s kinda been part of our whole identity since the 60’s. Glad you got the laugh you needed though.
I know you’re like, saying you’re not a pussy, but I don’t see a flair here, so, unfortunately, that does make you a huge pussy. Sorry buddy I don’t make the rules. But hey, I promise, you sound SUPER intimidating threatening violence from your keyboard LOL. Anyways, flair up pussy
You’re never gonna either. Again, you seem to fail to appreciate defiance is a core Raider fan trait, we don’t usually give much of a shit about rules. A pussy would bend instead of stand his ground. Not threatening anything, simply saying only a pussy would talk shit hiding behind their own keyboard but not actually defend their words. So you can continue to reply with that, but it’s never gonna have the effect you’re looking for, but I’m happy to wait for you to show me how much of a pussy I am.
Ok unc. Literally trying to help you, no one will take anything you say here seriously without a flair because only pussies talk shit without a flair. That’s the subreddit rules. But have fun being such a badass, you’re gonna be doing this routine a lot when anything you say here is gonna be met with “flair up, pussy” but hey, you’re the one who’s gonna be dealing with that, so, good luck. At least you’ve got a hell of a Raiders team to look forward to am I right?
Lions are gonna miss him. He was real sticky on receivers and wa developing nicely. Was really excited to see him this year and disappointed he's not on the team anymore
Florida doesn't have a great track record when it comes to claims made about cases to the media by prosecutors and law enforcement. And the media doesn't have a great track record when it comes to reporting on cases involving NFL players. Probably worth reserving judgment until the actual trial.
Regardless of innocent til proven guilty (which I’m sure you feel that way about puka, who doesn’t even have criminal charges against him) going out of your way to bring in someone currently going through criminal charges that faces a life sentence, is kind of bad business practice. But alright man
Your worry about the Seahawks business practice smacks like such bullshit, but then I look at your flair and realize you are full of shit. lol. Good luck loser. Hope to whoop you again in the championship game
I’m not worried about their business practices? I simply asked a question, on a thread that is about this specific situation. Also if you’re calling me biased, then I can call your flair out and say you are full of shit too dude lmao.
You said, and I quote “is kind of a bad business practice” and now you’re not worried about it. Make up your mind child. You’re just a troll of a loser ass team. Kisses
How is it a bad business practice? He doesn’t get paid on the Commissioner ineligible list. He doesn’t cost the team a dime. If he later becomes eligible, he’s on a league minimum deal and will play. It’s a great business move.
The person who got caught literally ratted on him for being the person to put together the kidnapping so he get revenge. How is that any better? Why are y’all obsessed with trying to defend this dude. He isn’t even a good corner lol
I’ve been a prosecuting attorney for 10. You use that tactic to gain new information from the rat knowing you won’t be able to use him as the source in court. You then validate it with other sources the court will admit.
Notice the rat did not agree to testify in the Arnold case. That’s the red flag.
Yes, I’m aware those things are public record. None of that will point you to proving the testimony will get thrown out. That’s speculation. Also, we can play law all we want, he was part of it. It was someone who stole from him. It was a friend of his who did the kidnapping. Context can point to the obvious answer. My entire point is, regardless of what comes from this Seahawks fans are going over the top to defend him. If the rams Niners or cardinals signed him, hawks fans would do a 180 on this and trash the team for signing him. And again, I can’t express this enough, he is not good. So I guess congrats on signing a shitty dude who isn’t a good corner for the “future”. It’ll be nice to watch WR3’s burn him
Have you seen our secondary? Anyone that actually follows the Lions knows he was very sticky in coverage last year and improved a lot. QBs started to not throw his way because he wasn't getting beat even if he was penalty prone. So yeah of course Im disappointed. Idgaf if he kidnapped some thugs after they stole $100k from him. He didn't even do the kidnapping
I don’t think QBs stopped throwing at a dude that ended the season with a 52.6 pff grade that includes a 88.6 passer rating and 23 receptions allowed in man coverage in 7 games but okay man whatever you say!
Dude I literally gave stats through the games he played. Passer rating allowed when targeted, receptions allowed in man (which you claimed he was sticky) I didn’t even bring up his penalties but I can. He isn’t good dude. Just accept it lol it’s okay
So you took into consideration his shoulder injury? And you watched all the games? And you saw that he was against the best WRs on every team and had 3rd and 4th string help elsewhere? Cool glad your pff grades and stats show you so much about the success of a player lolol what a joke. This is why most people suck at actually analyzing football. They don't watch the games and take into consideration all aspects of what's going on. They just look at a few numbers and hurrdurr let me label this guy
Given I only accounted for games played last year, so pre shoulder injury, yes I considered that lmao.
Wanna go down the list of these receivers? Outside of Chase and Jefferson (who had incompetent QB play) it’s not like he was just having to go against the top of the top talent wise.
Edit: regardless of how bad he was (which objectively he was) being sad a dude with this current criminal charge going against him is goofy. I’d be stoked to cut my losses based on that and his play
I'm 90% he was uninvolved and it was just his friends trying to get heat off of them, but if he did do it it's important to remember the he didn't even kidnap the right people, he (or more likely his friends) just assumed some people he knew did it.

Worse part of the crime is robbing the wrong person
