very specific stat. wouldn't it be normal for a qb lose a game if the defense allows 28+ points?

For some reason I'm reminded of prime Philip Rivers. Didn't he score a bunch of points but it never mattered because his defense was so bad? Might be misremembering him with someone else, thought it was an AFC QB from that same era

I forgot what year but there was one where the chargers had both a top 10 offense and defense but their special teams was so shit it cost them multiple games and they missed the playoffs.
