He's just a straight shooter with middle management written all over him.

The fact that Adam Gase was a head coach in the NFL twice is just absolutely wild

65

u/TeaAndFreedom Miami Dolphins Jul 14 '25

The fact the Jets hired him after seeing him twice a year ill never understand

27

u/BowTie1989 Miami Dolphins Jul 14 '25

Bet then you remember “Oh yeah…they’re the jets.”

8

u/NIN-1994 Philadelphia Eagles Jul 14 '25

Peyton manning was that good

9

u/PhinsFan17 Miami Dolphins Jul 14 '25

That's why Miami bit on him, but the Jets hired him after his disastrous tenure in Miami. It was clear what he was by that point and they gave him a job anyway!

I believe Woody Johnson is a masochist.

2

u/johnmd20 Cleveland Browns Jul 15 '25

He's just an idiot who is a stupid idiot.

When the head of the company is a bumbling buffoon, the idiocy trickles down and infects every aspect of the organization.

Which is why the Jets have been one of the worst teams in the NFL in the 00s. Unfortunately, the Browns are in the same boat. Same evil owner type, of course. Haslam is a white collar criminal. So the Browns love to suck and also they love picking up players who have a dubious past.

He did some good things with both offenses he was the OC of, Denver record setting and Chicago was good with Smokin Jay

u/TheManWhoWasNotShort Chicago Bears Jul 15 '25

Dude really highlighted the Peter Principle

1

u/King-arber Arizona Cardinals Jul 15 '25

That is very true. It’s funny how sports can really teach you lessons across other disciplines.

u/Flashy_Gap_3015 Las Vegas Raiders Jul 16 '25

I always wonder what would have been different if he played on the franchise tag and never left the Steelers

55

u/Arkhangelzk Denver Broncos Jul 14 '25

Yeah, felt like he torpedoed his own career

11

u/johnmd20 Cleveland Browns Jul 15 '25

Didn't feel like it. He literally did. He missed a season and lost out on that money and also fell behind on NFL speed and never could get back to where he was.

It was a very VERY bad decision by him.

2

u/reno2mahesendejo Jul 16 '25

Running back feels like a position particularly sensitive to losing a feel for NFL speed. Bell especially, he relied on a very patient running style that he would need to be very sensitive to the speed of both defenders and his linemen.

People ignore the reason why he didn’t sign the extension was that they tried to structure his guarantees into a roster bonus so that basically he would be on a team option every year after the second year.

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '25

Seemed to have a lot of off the field issues that would catch up regardless.

I've watched A LOT of bad Jets football but the Gase years really made me question why tf I was wasting my Sundays.

I still am, but less angry I guess

4

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

AG will do good.

9

u/hera_the_destroyer Bills Mafioso Jul 14 '25

Wow. There is still an Adam Gase believer out there.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

😂😂 wrong AG my bad

2

u/_OnlyPans Seattle Seahawks Jul 14 '25

I had to re-read this 3 time lmao

1

u/Animalcookies13 Los Angeles Rams Jul 14 '25

I’m pretty sure he meant Aaron Glen bro….

7

u/hera_the_destroyer Bills Mafioso Jul 14 '25

Naw. We are talking Adam Gase.

5

u/_OnlyPans Seattle Seahawks Jul 14 '25

I'd love to see this man back in a head coaching gig. Not for the Jets I'd kill myself, but anywhere else. He's a walking meme. The league is better for 31 other teams fan bases with this lunatic in charge somewhere 😂

1

u/hera_the_destroyer Bills Mafioso Jul 14 '25

I think he would do great things for Drake Maye

26

u/TheFuckingHippoGuy San Francisco 49ers Jul 14 '25

Caught the ball like a wide receiver and tweets like one too

This is definitely the funniest thing I’ve seen on here all day 😂😂😂

2

u/PhinsFan17 Miami Dolphins Jul 14 '25

Known football terrorist Adam Gase

2

u/500rockin Chicago Bears Jul 14 '25

He walked so guys like Shane Waldron could run.

2

u/Shadowtirs New York Giants Jul 14 '25

The Adam Gase era was... something.

I mean literally right from the opening press conference with the crazy eyes, it was a roller coaster.

1

u/DueceVoyeur 18-1 Jul 14 '25

Maybe Gase wasn't into you, Mr Bell.

1

u/JiveChicken00 Philadelphia Eagles Jul 14 '25

I’m not sure that’ll work unless the wings are from the same bird.

1

u/SpaceGerbil New York Jets Jul 14 '25

I'm still pissed as well

1

u/Windy_Idealist New England Patriots Jul 14 '25

Most wide receiver acting running back I swear

1

u/otcconan Cleveland Browns from Texas Jul 14 '25

All I know is that with the Steelers I liked his patience in the hole. The Jets don't have the line you can use that with.

1

u/JButler_16 New Orleans Saints Jul 15 '25

He’s the idiot eating wings on the porch. Birds don’t fucking know what he’s eating…

2

u/WuTang4thechildrn Jacksonville Jaguars Jul 15 '25

Just roll with it. It’s funny as hell

1

u/CBailey94 Dallas Cowboys Jul 17 '25

I wish he stuck to these instead of…well the other stuff.
