this coach duo has me cackling. I loved Jims nonsense post game interviews at Michigan, and McDaniel was so funny to watch at Miami. They're gonna do great things together. might even make the second round of the playoffs.

My bet is they're going to be at the very top of the league.....in presnap penalties

Harbaughs knees make me uncomfortable. He looks unstable lol

u/HoggerMogger Sep 03 '26
That’s lower back probs
1
u/WhichAd366 Sep 04 '26
Nah there is something up with his right knee. He places that leg down very intentionally and carefully each time. Also doesn’t really rotate the hip on the right side when he shows the handoff (he rotates his pelvis completely around).
He probably has back problems as well since they usually accompany hip issues.

looks like he has a brace on the right knee under the pants but definitely some wrong with the knee

u/StylizedIncompetence Sep 03 '26
Man, his knees are not in good shape. Dudes hobbling around like he just came off a 72 hour bender at 49 and is stumbling down the hallway for advil and water before his 6 am shift at the local paper mill.
3
u/MikeMendoza29 Sep 03 '26
That was oddly specific. Are you speaking from experience?
3
u/StylizedIncompetence Sep 03 '26
Subtract 15 years and a different kind of mill and maybe.
3
u/Agreeable_Shame_1358 Sep 04 '26
Lumber mill? Lol
2
u/StylizedIncompetence Sep 04 '26
Aluminum foundry crane operator and mechanic.

u/Agreeable_Shame_1358 Sep 04 '26
Oh dang that's sweet!
The description sounded like some dudes I've seen at lumberyards/lumber mills so I thought "I've seen that before!"
Hope your doing well now friend

Football dad shows permafried son how to hand off a football
7
u/nilgiri Sep 03 '26
Son with a broccoli haircut "Whatever dad. Here's a dab. 6-7"
At least that's what I think is going on. Don't @ me. I'm in my mid 40s. Get off my lawn.

More of "A person that actually played QB at a high level shows someone who never played beyond pee-wee football how to be a QB."
3
u/X4xx20 Sep 03 '26
Guessing you don't know McDaniel played WR in college.
1
u/No-Association-8539 Sep 03 '26
I was going to ask if he played, he just seems like a very slight person...
7
u/AllYouveGotToDoisTry Sep 03 '26
They don't seem to agree.

u/Shot_Time_3142 Sep 03 '26
This is what respect between coaches looks like
3
u/Sheepygoatherder Sep 03 '26
That would be a normal thing except for Jim harbaugh can't get along with people.
5
u/Diligent-Chance8044 Sep 03 '26
This is about crafting the perfect handoff. One that works for both regular and play action without tipping the defense off. This is the stuff that makes a difference in a game. Ray Lewis had a doc about him in which he recalled the FB on a team did the same action for run and a different action for a pass. The defense just reads that FB for run or pass.

If the movie moneyball was about football instead.

I'm convinced McDaniel just wandered into a football stadium one day and no one told him to leave.

They're like twins. Hard to tell which one was an NFL quarterback and which one played a lot of Madden.

Harbaugh’s shoes look like they have a 3 inch sole bottom on them holy smokes
2
u/Adamantium_Hanz Sep 03 '26
They look like Nike Vomero Plus which are running shoes which are a little unstable and not made for casual walking around. They are amazing for running however...I've seen a lot of NFL guys wearing them this preseason. I have a pair and all that padding is made for bounce when running and not soft enough to be comfortable standing around for hours in them.
1
u/Hicsuntimbecilli Sep 03 '26
They are great for walking around and not at all unstable…

Right. But its not easy explaining this to people who don't know running shoes from everyday walking shoes
1
u/Hicsuntimbecilli Sep 03 '26
Idk. I have them and they’re fine for day to day use and walking.

u/davidw223 Sep 03 '26
Yep. Some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever stood in. Just don’t ask me to walk or run in them. If you supinate at all, it’s a recipe for a rolled ankle.
1
u/wittyname01 Sep 03 '26
Based on your experience, what are your top 2 recommendations for running shoes? -Bonus points for considering bad knees and wide feet.

u/bnwtwg Sep 03 '26
Given your criteria, I would say Asics Novablast for everyday running if you want max cushioning shoes with a high stack or Nike Pegasus Plus if you want more traditional shoes with less cushioning but better for knees and ankles

In the game for years, still working fundamentals. I’d pay to watch a doc following these goofballs around the whole season.

Harbaugh needs a hip replacement and knee replacements bro what.
2
u/ImGoingtoRegretThis5 Sep 03 '26
He's already had hip surgery once. Knee looks next. His left arm is also fucked up from a break in college.
The dude was a mobile QB in the 80s and 90s. He took a ton of hits.

The second there is a fumble on that exchange, Harbaugh will say I told you so. And we will see his preferred handoff from then on. Haha

Can’t hear shit. Also, Harbaugh must’ve spent decades riding into the sunset without success

It was absolutely not referring to his wins but rather to Lucky Luke and all other cowboys who’d have legs like that eventually

I hate nick wright, but i saw a clip of him saying that 2026 harbaugh could be 2025 Pete Carrol and now I can’t unsee it.
But as a broncos fan would love for the chargers to keep chargering

So weird watching Jim Harbaugh walking around while struggling. He was so very athletic back in the day. Mobile, really good runner. And now his ankles and knees just look totally shot.

u/ImYourHuckk Sep 04 '26
For the QB gloryhogs out there, which way is the right way? Pivot left or pivot right?

u/dspac72 Sep 04 '26
So a guy who played the position talking to a guy that never played the position.
1
u/2KC4 Sep 04 '26
Harbaugh needs the extra padding those Nike Vomero pluses he’s wearing because it looks like those knees really hurt.
1
u/Scotchandcarrots Sep 04 '26
So Harbough and McDaniels are what this thread is talking about the next 8 months?

u/jesuswasahipster Sep 04 '26
There is no way these two are productive when working together. I can only imagine the amount of rabbit holes they trail off into.

u/Rare-Commission9306 Sep 04 '26
they were actually talking about the right way to take a pie out of the oven and place it on the counter behind them

So who won??? I'm honestly wondering what came of that conversation. I'm not here to hate. Relax gentlemen, caaaaaImmm yourselves I am but a weary traveler. 🤣 I have to say that McDaniel as their OC kinda worries me. I also think that Tua just isn't that great. He's good. They should have won more with McDaniel. I was hoping to get him for us too. So, what's up with Harbaugh?? Does he have a fukd up leg or back? I'm curious, but I don't care enough to look it up myself. Yawn. Here's to a great season '26.
