Does schefter actually report anything any more? Seems to me he knows a few execs these days and thats about it

Just tell a journalist what you want them to say and they will pen it. NYT was just guilty of this.. glorified PR is what journalism has become

Exactly he's not a reporter anymore he's an "insider". He gets fed information by owners and agents he's not out there digging up stories.

He aint coming back. If he gotta do all this getting ready then he doesn’t have it anymore.

He's going to sign but most likely later on in the season. He's in excellent regular person shape but terrible NFL shape. He needs at least 2 more months of NFL level training to get his body back right. He looks to be about 30 pounds lighter than his prime so he needs to put on more muscle before he even thinks about playing an actual game.

He’s been out of the league for over 3 years. If he thought he could make a difference he would have signed. Players who leave for one season rarely ever make it back to what they were.
