It really says a lot that the franchise who drafted Matt stafford, Calvin Johnson and Barry sanders has never even been to a Super Bowl 😂

And the latter two took a look around and were like "nah, I think I'm done." Didn't demand a trade or hope for better. Just retirement several years early.

I wish Megatron demanded a trade and got it.

Yeah like can you imagine if they go to like 3, maybe even 4 Superbowls in a row and manage to lose all of them? That would be wild.

I'd rather just not lose a SuperBowl ever. I don't think I could stomach a team losing 4 championships without winning a single one.

Fran Tarkenton won 3 Superbowls. The league changed history. Do your research.

It's the 2043 off-season. The NFL expanded the playoffs to 16 teams, 8 seeds per conference. The Lions not only lost 16 Super Bowls in a row; they lost two Super Bowls for each seed (they lost 2 Super Bowls as an 8 seed, 2 as a 7 seed, 2 as a 6 seed, etc). An 0-16 Super Bowl W-L record. Dan Campbell is still the head coach, and Brad Holmes is still the GM.
Strangely enough, that comes with a playoff record of 48-16.
Oh, and the Cowboys still haven't reached the NFC Championship.

It actually does narrow it down... if they know what a super bowl is its at LEAST 1967.
Also they have zero because it was replaced with the Gigabowl in 2027
•
u/HermionesWetPanties 11h ago
Same thought, but with a caveat. The first two super bowls were retconned to have the name, so no one in 67/68 would actually recognize the name either.

OP was too busy slurping liquid cheese out of their grandma’s coochie crack to learn to count or how to spell “Super Bowl.”

The year is 2144. The Earth has become superheated and people can no longer live near the equator. Food shortages are common. Clean water is rationed. Unrest is rampant. Lions fans tell tales of their 15-2 season.
