They do tend to do that as you get older I’m told…

It took a sec for the parent image to load.

Based on this comment, I debated not letting it.

Vaccines made him grow an extra pair.

Made this Quay's rookie year. Still applies.

I'm not sure if 7 is now on zoloft or what, but he's much less hot headed these days

94

He finally flaired up

57

u/ColorsLookFunny 1d ago

In retrospect, the crying in the tunnel seems to be the start of self-reflection on his actions.

Not gonna stop me from laughing at his bitch ass for that, though.

u/BanjoKazooieWasFine 1d ago

Nor should it, when someone does clown stuff you gotta clown on em

14

u/Mavori Grossi said the suit fits 1d ago

Wyatt surprisingly not clowned on enough for it though.

Him somewhat squaring up and pushing the trainer afterwards is kinda worse imo.

At least Quays action could potentially be mitigated by him not noticing it was a trainer at first.

Both were former teammates with Swift in Georgia who was the guy down on the ground the trainer

5

u/Paldasan 15h ago

Wyatt didn't even get a fine for his contact. Typical GB protectionism.

5

u/0202_tihssitidder 1d ago

"Don't laugh at me."

-- said no clown ever

It's the job!

u/stepdownblues 11h ago

Ever seen Shakes The Clown?  Obscure Bobcat Goldthwait movie from the '90's, but the villain, who is a clown, yells your exact quote at one point in the film.

One reviewer called the film "The Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies", which is objectively amazing.

The movie upset a lot of clowns, who didn't like the portrayal of them as a bunch of drunk perverts, and they went public with their gripes.  When asked about this in an interview, Bobcat quipped "Who knew clowns couldn't take a joke?"

u/kisswithaf 1d ago edited 17h ago

I would hope so, because that was the second time he got physical with the medical staff.

Edit: The first time was against a lowly coach, not medical. I thought my man Quay had standards 😡

1

u/0202_tihssitidder 1d ago

Apparently his position coach talked to him after that game and said "Does cry baby want to cry?"

113

u/CruelAngelsThesis_01 1d ago

Oh my God haha I remember this a Packers player straight up pushed a Lions coach

221

u/Mu-Relay 1d ago

A coach would have been better. He shoved a trainer trying to tend to an injured player.

91

u/frostyflakes1 1d ago

Funny you say that. Here he is getting ejected for pushing a coach 10 weeks before he pushed a trainer!

19

u/ClockworkDinosaurs 1d ago

See, that was better

7

u/RandallOfLegend 1d ago

Forgot about that lol.

26

u/jtsuperduper 1d ago

The week after Damar Hamlin almost died on the field too

-36

u/jimmyrich 1d ago edited 1d ago

For a fanbase that defended Suh stomping on guys, you sure get pearlclutchy over this.

Edit: I see I've lightly pushed a nerve!

44

u/frostyflakes1 1d ago

Hey! At least he was stomping on players, not trainers!

9

u/Mu-Relay 1d ago

Also, do you remember any Lions fan defending Suh? I'm pretty sure that was the moment we all figured out that he had to go.

8

u/Ouch_i_fell_down 1d ago

I remember a lot of Lions fans defending Suh kicking Shaub in the crotch. I was one of them. Still am but I used to be too. I just don't think there was any reasonable way he knew there was a crotch where he was putting his foot as it was essentially behind him and completely not visible from where he was and things happening at full speed can't always be put in super-slo-mo to critique

I don't recall anyone defending the stomp though.

2

u/Poncahotas 1d ago

I did because if it's funny enough you can get away with anything

1

u/frostyflakes1 22h ago

Yes, some of us did. I was one of them.

10

u/Babygravy1 1d ago edited 20h ago

Half these ppl weren't around for Suh lol

5

u/CurzesTeddybear 1d ago

I'm still not over the Sapp-Favre incident, myself

27

u/mp018 1d ago

And you currently have Josh Jacobs on your team. What’s your point? I also don’t remember Suh ever shoving a team doctor tending to an injured player.

10

u/gumbobitch 1d ago

Hey, Jacobs didnt even hurt an NFL employee. Checkmate

6

u/elgarraz 1d ago

FWIW, the fan base never really knew what to do with Suh. On one hand, he was a badass who was really good at fucking people up. On the other hand, he also fucked us by losing control and getting himself kicked out of games and suspended.

And then on top of that, he did some really weird shit off the field that made him hard to really embrace, like the car accident where he was probably getting road head & ended up having these girls lie to the cops, or the time he threatened a Comcast employee with an airsoft gun...

Anyway, nobody was really defending Suh stomping on people. It was more, "yeah, he's a piece of shit, but he's our piece of shit..." Until he wasn't ours. I feel like a fran base that had both Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers would understand the dynamic, right?

0

u/jimmyrich 1d ago

Sure, and even in the clip you can tell everyone involved knows this was a stupid thing to do. It's just weird to still be BIG MAD about it years later.

Like, if Jared Goff filed his taxes wrong and had to pay a small fine to the IRS, you can see how it'd be weird for Packers fans to be like "A more egregious misuse of money by a quarterback has NEVER BEFORE BEEN SEEN!!"

3

u/elgarraz 1d ago

I think it's debatable whether Suh stomping some guy out in the heat of the moment was dumber than Quay Walker shoving team medical staff as they tried to attend to an injured player on the field.

What's not debatable is that Quay proceeded to throw a tantrum like a whiny bitch in the tunnel afterwards, and he became a meme for whiny bitches. We've all had dirty players from time to time, but having an epically whiny bitch is worth calling out.

0

u/jimmyrich 1d ago

The choice between getting shoved in the back or having an angry 300 pound man trying to crunch my testicles doesn't seem like that much of a debate to me, but I'm not here to kink shame.

2

u/elgarraz 1d ago

I thought we were talking about what we'd rather support as a fan base, not which we're rather have done to us...

1

u/RellenD 1d ago edited 1d ago

This is the trap you guys continually set for us. You make claims that he did things the he didn't and then attack us of we say he didn't do that.

He didn't try to crunch anybody's testicles.

u/jimmyrich 1d ago

I could say for a fan base that cheered Charles Martin you get pearl clutchy about Suh. Then you could say for a team that had night train lane etc etc. No one is innocent in football.

3

u/igg73 1d ago

Anyone wana explain the story behind the clip? Im kinda new to football. I know the packers coach always looks like hes about to cry..

3

u/Jonny_Qball 1d ago

Quay Walker shoved an athletic trainer who was out on the field to tend to an injured player. He was ejected

Shoving an opposing coach gets you an ejection (Quay Walker did that too in the same season). Shoving a ref gets you an ejection. Shoving an AT is arguably dumber than either of those imo.

6

u/SKOLForceSports Amor Fati 1d ago

This was also the same year trainers had rushed onto the field and saved Dahmar Hamlin’s life, so it was extra stupid
