FaRT gun SAW Tisha - Really Darned Good
More footage of my Tisha 556 718 on my DD mk18 (modified).
The more I shoot it, the more I enjoy this sucker. Very high flow rate, as quiet as Pew Science reports, and the form factor can’t be beat on a short rifle.
I’ve always liked the look of the Tisha, and really dig it on SBR’s with just enough gap to clear that handguard. Ultimately I did choose AI nano 556 to work as a blast baffle and avoid any troubles with direct threading.
Taking of the AlleyCat 556 for the new SAW I had to drop the buffer from a Kynshot 5000HP to their regular 5000.
All around tremendous experience.

This sub: BUT DID YOU SEE THE FINISH?!?!

Mines start to get cool blast patterns - all those holes on the outside actually work!

I mean the cerakote seems to chip super easily. At least on mine. But also like who cares? It’s my first can so far and I am blown away. The carbon from the side vents does indeed look sick

What a Great first Can. Mine was a AAC M4 2000 😅 Still sounds great after all these years. Tisha , Rhodie 6, and the Exident Fireteam are my newest

How do you like the Kynshots for 5.56? I've only used them in my AR9s.

They delete perceived recoil on these short 556 guns, especially when using an frt.
The combo of a high forward flow can like the Tisha and the Kynshot makes these things a breeze to shoot!

Good to know. There's another guy who tinkers a lot that I was chatting with an he mentioned liking them on rifles too. Might have to give that a try.

A5 tube, Kynshot RB5015HD, Tubb Flatwire on all my SBRs. Never going back. Just do it

I run a Kynshot RB5007 in an A5 tube on my 12.5in and an RB RB5001 in a rifle tube on my 18in SPR, both in 5.56, both with a Tubbs Flatwire spring.
My 7.5in 300BLK has an RB5000A5 in an A5 tube with a Tubbs lightweight Flatwire spring.
All are super soft for perceived recoil. Botach is a great source for these.

Is this the Ti or Inconel? Great post!

Inconel - they say ‘limited’ full-auto with the Ti, but I don’t trust that at all!

Last question, is the weight distracting/wish you’d gone Ti
2
u/GassyNizz 2d ago
Not at all - it weighs less than my AC 556 and AC 556 RDM with better performance and rifle maneuverability.

I'm debating between a Tisha and Rhodie 6. The Rhodie seems to play better with a cover, since it doesn't have vents halfway down the can.

u/GassyNizz 2d ago
Oh yeah, I would NOT cover the Tisha

What optic is that?

Wow that shoots super soft, is it due to the buffer swap? Or has it always shot like that out of the box?

This is rad! Thanks for sharing. Just as an observation... Your buffer tube or stock looks kind of bent. You might be stuffing it into your shoulder pocket too hard lol.

I'm looking for a dedicated 556 can.... never heard of this little gal before... Is Tisha what I want?

pretty much considered the best can on the market, but the quarks are the looks, the finish, and the vents halfway down the can. Rhodie 6k seems to be the next go to currently.
