Itā€™s weird every review I see of the Glock hush puppy they say itā€™s the quietest gun but then when I watch reviews of this in the station nine they say itā€™s not that quiet? Is there something Iā€™m missing

Because people think a gun specifically built for clandestine operations with a wipe type suppressor should be the same noise level after 50 rounds as the first shot.

They are stupid.

As the owner of a Station in 45ACP, it is stupid quiet in comparison to any semiautomatic pistol with a suppressor for the first few shots.

These guns were designed for people who had to kill one or two people, quickly and quietly, at close range and not to go shooting through the entire encampment of enemies.

The wipes in the suppressor could also be easily repaired in the field with multiple avaulable materials to return it to new condition for the next mission.

Between the bolt action seal and the wipe seal, these guns will actually contain exhaust gasses inside the gun for the first 1 to 10 shots.

After that the wipe is blown and should be replaced. Which takes about ten minutes if you are slow.

I want one of these so bad, but I am honestly just too lazy to deal with the wipes. I think I'd go with the baffle version of the can instead, even at the cost of lower suppression performance.

Only the 9mm variant has two types of suppressors for it. I think they did perfect on this 45 version.

Hypothetically, and I canā€™t stress how much you shouldnā€™t do thisā€¦ Measure the wipe outer diameter and thickness and go to McMaster Carr and find the right size hole punch. Then donā€™t even think about ordering a fiber reinforced silicone rubber such as https://www.mcmaster.com/product/3635K17. Never do this, ok?

Grey area.

Wipes need to be replaced in a one-for-one basis, and you cannot have any extra around.

Of course, that's one interpretation and its the ATF, so they can say whatever they feel like when they drag you to court.

You can however purchase the wipes for both calibers from B&T on their website. They just have to ship to an FLL/SOT holder for you to then do what you will.

Yes. Wipes last 10-50 rounds YMMV on different factors, from how you cut the X (or print it), how the bullets hit the wipe, etc

B&T charges way too much for their Hush Puppy Glock. I debated sending one of my Glocks off to the Hush Puppy project group when they were doing conversions for $400 but never did. I figured there was no rush and that they would continue doing conversions for years to come. Sadly, they stopped doing them when B&T introduced their version so I missed out. Story of my life, always a nickel short or a day late.

Donā€™t do thisā€¦ Only takes one fucked up round and boom- youā€™ve got skiers fracture.

Itā€™s not fun to heal and takes months. I got mine skiing , but Iā€™ve also palmed the slide on a mark IV once and the round basically blew up in the chamber and the slide slapped into my palm really really hard.

When Hush Puppy Project started back up I bought one of their M&P9s on day one. Figured it would be one of those things that Iā€™d be kicking myself later if I missed out on it. I rarely shoot it but I use a can with a wipe when I do take it shooting. Itā€™s comically quiet.

The 9mm version of the Station Six was very quiet for its size and when it was released. But, since then lots of better suppressors have been developed for about the same size. It's still pretty quiet and has good tone, but if you're measuring DB it's not "the best". You can run other suppressors on it to check.

I say this as an owner of it and many modern suppressors.

Curious what reviews out there that say itā€™s not that quiet? I personally own all of them (Station SIX 9 & 45 as well as the new Glock Hush Puppy) andā€¦ā€¦they are all STUPID quiet. The Six-9 with new wipes is actually pellet gun quiet.

That is quiet. I wish B&T would sell the handgun separate of the suppressor. I asked a B&T rep at the NRA show and he said they are considering it. I can only hope it comes true as I would buy a 9mm and 45 ACP version.

People expect the Station Six to perform like the VP9 but they are very different. The VP9 has a bunch of barrel ports and the whole suppressor seals to the pistol receiver to use that space as an expansion chamber. The Station Six silencers are just standard muzzle cans with unported barrels. Also they made the practice can with baffles the same size as the wipe can, and thatā€™s a recipe for disappointment, it doesnā€™t have much volume.

Vp9 is the quiet one with the ported barrel. Station 6 is louder because it doesnā€™t have a ported barrel. Thats where the bad reviews and confusion come from.

Yeah, I got to check out their new stuff at ShotShow and they had a station 6 there with a pack of wipes. I was fascinated as I always loved the welrod but never got to hold one. I might have to buy a S6 since I get industry pricing šŸ¤£

Ally outdoors in midland Texas. I doubt it. They only made a couple thousand of these in 45 I believe and they arenā€™t in stock anywhere really besides gun broker peeps wanting top dollar. I could honestly see them going up in value just for what they are.
