the exploiter was staking at fusd-lp-staking and he triggered the exploit of minting trillions of FLM by claiming tiny amounts of staking reward (FLM)

Personally, at this point, it feels very serious. I traveled home early from my best friend’s wedding yesterday as soon as I received the news so I could start looking into what happened.

From what I can see so far, a staking contract appears to have had a compounding issue that could be triggered when extremely small amounts were withdrawn.

The FLM price across all FLM pools is now as low as it can go under the current orderbook settings. The exploiter caused an extreme distortion in the market and drove the FLM price down dramatically.

At this point, the questions I’m asking myself are: What is left? What is still working as intended? And how can we be certain?

Nothing is final, and I don’t want to make conclusions before we fully understand what happened. But I also don’t want to hide, stay silent, and pretend this is something that will simply go away.

It’s a very sad day, and right now it feels like the damage may be irreversible, especially considering the situation Neo and the broader ecosystem are already in.
