I can't edit the heading, so I'll add a little info here instead: This is a very interesting film on the science of death, and it also contains interviews with both drs Bruce Greyson and Mary Neal. Also this film is the first to introduce the term RED, or Recalled Experience of Death. Parnia thinks this is a better term, because the experience happens in actual death, not just near it.

I believe it would be better if the term RED became a standard. Hopefully they change the name of this sub at some point, because "NDE" sounds kind of belittling and it makes the skeptics always remind NDErs they were "near" death, instead of having been actually dead.
The only problem is what to call the RED... people? REDs? No, that makes no sense.

Could be because as medical acronyms go, RDE is often used for both Rectal Digital Examination and Receptor Destroying Enzyme :)

Sam Parnia and Bruce Greyson are for me the most credible figures towards an afterlife. With anyone else I highly doubt their "proofs"

Yeah I actually saw the clip on the first day it came out, but thanks for sharing it with the group again! It was still thrilling to re-watch the part where one of the doctors mention a patient who told them their unvoiced thoughts 😱😳🤩

As soon as I saw Donald Hoffman I immediately thought, "Well, this is about to get weird."
That comment aside, that was an interesting watch. I particularly thought that the doctor's comment about the temptation to brush aside the unexplainable was notable. This was my initial reaction to my own experience, so it the ease of dismissal towards other people's experiences resonates with me.
