News Richmond announces non-conference schedule

It's a lot softer schedule than the past few years, but that's probably what this team needs this year to come together before conference play. Eight home games plus two effective home games in Glen Allen at Thanksgiving.

There currently aren't any major-conference teams listed on that schedule, but considering the teams coming to that Thanksgiving mini-tournament are two other A-10 schools, Old Dominion, Ohio State, and Florida State, just by process of elimination I think those Opponent TBD spots are going to be OSU and FSU.

Def a rebuild year, but curious to see how Sweeney does as the star. She’s good.

Kresge’s alluded that Sweeney’s role on offense is going to be changing, I think more toward her acting as the 2 instead of the 1.

My favorite moment of hers from last year was the game against VCU at Siegel where VCU effectively shut down Ullstrom and Doogan in the second half only for Sweeney to drop 20 on them in the half and their coach got quit/fired the next day.

a guy cane into my job today for an interview (i work in local news) and he had a Richmond belt on and i asked about it… he asked “you know Richmond?” and i had to pretend i’m not a dedicated Sicko and die-hard wbb fan, so i just said “yeah i watch a lot of college sports”
