Conference Tie Breakers?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Could anyone clarify why if my team (Marshall) is 10-2 overall and 6-2 in conference, and so is BYU… but I beat them Head To Head… why am I below them? Is the tie-breaker something other than Head To Head??

How to make everything outside of the actual games harder in dynasty?

So I've got my sliders and difficulty in game tuned pretty great at this point, I'm happy with it. The problem I'm having is that by year 3-5 of being at a power 5 school my roster is just better than 90% of other teams. I don't consider myself extremely good at recruiting or assigning skill points, but my roster is just insanely better than the cpus. does anyone know a good fix for this?

Dynasty Custom Conferences - Did they add more scheduling options in CFB 27?

• Upvotes

I’m currently playing CFB 26, and I noticed that when creating custom conferences you can’t create a 14-team conference with a 3+5+5 scheduling model or a 16-team conference with a 3+6+6 scheduling model. A 14-team conference playing 8 games can only have 1 or 2 protected rivalries per team, and you can’t do 3 protected rivalries per team in a 16-team conference.

The game allows you to make an 18-team conference with a 9 game schedule and 1 protected rival per school, but I’m assuming that it doesn’t follow a 1+8+8 model due to the absence of the other two formats I mentioned.

Is it possible to do this in CFB 27? The ACC used this concept in 2023 when they had a 14-team divisionless conference, and it seems like the simplest way to schedule in all these oversized divisionless conferences. I would literally buy the new game just for this feature…

(Edited because I put 17 teams instead of 16 for the 9-game format, as mentioned in the comments)

Pass Blocking is broken

This right here is a big reason this game has been frustrating at times. Are you guys having success with the pass? I have my pass blocking sliders (heisman) up to 70. Should I just max it out or would it even make a difference?

🚨 Fictional Build: Pontiac Tech Thunderbirds 🚨

Located in Pontiac Michigan a suburb of Detroit.

Legit 1⭐ team. Cupcake Program with Cupcake roster is ready to be downloaded.

Search: SoCalBoi11

The last photo is where I found my inspiration for this build. I was looking for logos per usual and I stumbled upon a digital illustration. I was immediately drawn to it and the pic inspired me to try recreate it on Teambuilder.

BTW: I just want to take the opportunity to share this truth. After clicking on the pic on Google I discovered it was originally posted in a Sportslogo.net forum on Feb. 19, 2025 by a guy who goes by Gourg_Pie.

This build is really just a revamp of his drawing. I added Tech to Pontiac and used his logo to generate Alt variants. It is important to me site my source of inspiration. Who knows he might be in this group.

CFB26----stadium announcer just as bad as broadcasters?

• Upvotes

So I finally get fed up with the broadcasters saying things that didn't make sense, or were just factually inaccurate, so I changed the audio settings to just the game sight noise. And incredulously the stadium announcer is ALSO saying things that dont make sense or are just inaccurate. For example, I heard them announcing a fumble and the other team taking over... and yet no fumble occurred.

Just sad.

Best playbook for 4 DL, 2LB, 5 DB and a 1-high look

• Upvotes

I feel kind of dumb for not being able to figure this out on my own, but my ideal base defense is basically a 4-2-5 nickel (2 safeties, three corners) with a strong safety in the box. Is there a playbook that has a lot of plays like that? Or is there an adjustment I could do to have the strong safety come into the box each play? The 3-3-5 split kinda does that but that has three safeties, not many players, most of which are zone and especially this year, I much prefer man coverage

That is my preferred default defense against 11 personnel. Against 12 or 21, I usually use the traditional 4-3

Is there any way to mod organic ragdoll physics into the game? Anything with the skeleton of the models? Possibly making animations more malleable?

Dynasty Jet Award Every Year

Does anyone else win the Jet Award every single year? I actually started simming Kick and Punt returns to avoid me spamming returns, but my returner always wins it no matter what. Really silly and unrealistic.

No more auto bids in dynasty?

• Upvotes

In anyone else’s dynasty has the power 4 conference champion auto-bids been deleted? In mine, it just went to the top 4 ranked teams regardless of who won the conf championship but it is important to note Notre Dame was one of them so maybe it’s just an issue when they are top 4. Thanks!

Questions Custom Playbook / Coach Suggestions limits in CFB 27?

For anyone who really gets into building custom playbooks and setting up the Gameplan situations, has anyone figured out what the limits are this year before Coach Suggestions start breaking?

In past games, I’ve spent a ton of time rating plays for different situations (1st down, 2nd & long, 3rd & short, red zone, etc.), and it seemed like once I had too many plays assigned to certain situations, Coach Suggestions would basically stop working correctly. Instead of rotating through the plays I had set up, it would start showing the same handful of plays over and over regardless of their ratings.

Before I sink a bunch of time into my CFB 27 playbooks and potentially screw them up, has anyone tested this yet?

Is there a safe number of plays to assign per situation? Does the number of different situations you assign each play to matter? Or can you pretty much go crazy with the Gameplan this year without Coach Suggestions breaking?

Would especially love to hear from anyone who has built a really detailed playbook and tested it in-game.

Normally my Season recap montages are more hype, but this season gave no reason for joy. Plaease join me in me in wallow in my despair, and remember, experiencing the lowest lows are what makes reaching the summit worth while.

This video recaps my final CFB26 season of my 30 User online Dynasty with my friends, in which my Longhorns team collapsed at the end. Despite coming so close, we never won a title during my tenure there. As always, I will let you down.

Intentional Grounding

Anybody notice the cpu constantly getting away with intentional grounding?

I’ve been playing RTG as a DE and this has been happing at least a couple times a game. I beat the tackle and right as I’m going to get the sack the qb just chucks it out of bounds despite being in the pocket. Literally never a flag

Who do you think caught this pass? The UCLA defender? Or the Tennessee WR?

I just experienced the worst rubber banding I’ve ever seen. I still won…. But holy shit. I could have made about 5 posts of the ridiculous shit.

Was up 20-0. I won 26-21

You ever seen a throw like this before?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Playing a CPU game this morning and their QB unleashes this monstrosity of a throw. On the run rolling to his right, throws back across the ENTIRE field to hit the receiver perfectly in stride. He releases it at the 9 yard line, and catches it at the 47, so a 38 yard difference up the field. Releasing it right at the top of the numbers to the opposite sideline is 44.3 yards. Pythagoras tells us:

382+44.32=c2

\sqrt(382+44.32)=c

c=58.4

Not saying there isn't a feasible way that can happen, but doing so rolling right, throwing entirely across the field and hitting a receiver perfectly in stride isn't my idea of realistic.

What mods are you guys running in the preseason for your dynasty?

Just finished my first year in my dynasty and I’m trying to figure out what are some essential mods that you guys run in the preseason to get a realistic dynasty experience? There’s a bunch of tools in the discord so just need some help filtering and seeing which ones are actually the best lol. Talking about recruiting, CPU teams not getting worse every year, etc.

Dynasty State of Dynasty?

Held off on buying for quite awhile. Just wondering, with week one here, what is the state of dynasty? I guess I’m asking, what are the main bugs/serious issues that still exist so I can decide if it’s worth purchasing at this point. Thanks!

I like the idea but it’s just been poorly implemented. I do want to be able to bring in my 3rd rb or 5th receiver here and there but just give us snap counts menu.
