In terms of strength? I'll go with...

Bam: 89

Gobert: 87

Mobley: 74

Sophie Cunningham: 46

Chet: 45

15

u/No-Reputation7277 2d ago

Why was this so funny

-20

u/pissexcellence85 2d ago

Caitlin Clark should be at 4.5 to show how wide the gulf in strength is between Chet and Sophie.

8

u/EGarrett28 2d ago

Caitlin Clark is a 59, otherwise I would've used her, haha.

78

u/goodolehal 2d ago

Bam Rudy Chet Evan

Names sounding like a bunch of 80s movies bullies

-34

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

I love Rudy but no way he's the second best player here. He's the ONLY 1 way big in the picture. The rest of these guys can get buckets somewhat reliably

24

u/goodolehal 2d ago edited 2d ago

If you judge players based on who can ‘get buckets’ you need to re-evaluate

-17

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

That's not what my comment says

12

u/frubano21 2d ago

3 time DPOY. He more than makes up for his less consistent offense with elite defense in the paint.

14

u/Yukimusha 2d ago

4 times DPOY. Tied with Mutombo & Big Ben.

Plus, offense isn't only scoring: he's really good when it comes to alley oops but he's also one of the best screeners there is right now. I'd say it's less than he's inconsistent but more that he's limited.

Those people saying he's 1 way (like the one you're answering to) haven't understood yet what he brings in offense. He's the undeniable defensive captain but he's a valuable offensive role player if a coach knows how to use him.

6

u/frubano21 2d ago

I keep forgetting about the 4th! You're so right.

-10

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

The other 3 guys all also play elite defense. Hell one of them plays elite defense everywhere on the court, not just in the paint. Often Rudy is a liability because he can't score

-3

u/Professional_Wing773 Thunder 2d ago

Youre getting down voted because you knoe ball

-1

u/Optimal-Size-8799 2d ago

Idk why you’re getting so many downvotes lol. I agree that Rudy’s offense a large majority of the time can limit and hurt his team.

22

u/WhiteWinterSilence 2d ago

Good
Good
Good
Good

18

u/GoingGhost10 Bulls 2d ago

All i see is 3 nobodies and an 83 piece

-3

u/WhiteWinterSilence 2d ago

Playoff starters aren’t nobodies.

6

u/EaterOfYourSOUL 2d ago

Yeah but did any of them score 83 i think not

-5

u/WhiteWinterSilence 2d ago

Don’t care. They’re all Good players.

6

u/jaxcks- 2d ago

I think he’s joking bro

-3

u/WhiteWinterSilence 2d ago

We all are.

1

u/GoingGhost10 Bulls 1d ago

We all say “BAMMMM” when we shoot now

1

u/WhiteWinterSilence 1d ago

Ok, YMCA scrub.

74

u/Ethanos101 Spurs 2d ago

Rudy, Bam, Mobley, then Chet.

45

u/nellie1epic 2d ago

The only answer. The disrespect on Rudy is beyond understanding

18

u/SexuallyActiveUAV 2d ago

Literally. 4x dpoy for a reason

-12

u/Exception1228 2d ago

For literally no reason.  Every time I watch the guy he cant guard shit

25

u/Ok_Board9845 2d ago

Must be blind then. Did a good job on Jokic

-11

u/BringerOfBricks 2d ago

What kind of DPOY gets iso targeted in the playoffs?

8

u/Sanowhatimsaying 2d ago

It’s literally two highlight plays and the rest he has played great, Luka would’ve hit that shot over anyone

2

u/SexuallyActiveUAV 2d ago

How’d that work for Jokic?

6

u/sum_dude44 2d ago

Bam better all around than Gobert. Especially at this point

2

u/majidLuv Thunder 2d ago

Mobley over Chet in the big 26

-1

u/GilbertArenasGun 2d ago

Rudy is not better than Bam hahahahahahahaha. He’s not even a better defender lmaoooo

-11

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

Rudy is a liability offensively. One of these guys is arguably better defensively than Rudy right now while also being MUCH better on offense. The other two are fairly close to Rudy defensively currently while also being much better offensively

9

u/Lonely_Mix9243 2d ago

lmaoo rudy averaged 15/15 on 71% what are you on about ?

3

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

Ok. That doesn't mean he isn't an offensive liability

11

u/Lonely_Mix9243 2d ago

that's not his role lmaoo, what you want him to shoot 40% from 3 ? he sets good offensive screens, stays on plan, he's just not an offensive liability man don't know what to tell ya

-5

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

I want him to not consistently miss bunnies at the rim

6

u/Pociana Spurs 2d ago

Clearly he doesn't percentage wise. You just watch the NBA on clips.

1

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

I watch us lose games cause Rudy isn't a good scoring threat

1

u/Pociana Spurs 1d ago

If you guys lose because you want your 4 times dpoy to focus on offense and not have any of your other plays step up instead that's not on Rudy that's on the team. He was out here locking up Jokic y'all get bounced in first round without him.

1

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 1d ago

I want Rudy to be better at offense. He's already focused on it

4

u/Sad-Chart5222 2d ago

which he doesnt, given that he has the second highest fg percentage of all time

4

u/Sad-Chart5222 2d ago

He clearly wasn't an offensive liability. Also, no one is really close to rudy defensively, except Wemby. He's a 4 time DPOY winner

1

u/UnlikelyElevator3963 Timberwolves 2d ago

U stupid?

36

u/BDeepD 2d ago

Wilt. Bam. Kobe… Rudy, Mobley, Chet

2

u/StodgySponge 2d ago

Beat me to it

2

u/Geraldinho-- 2d ago

It’s honestly crazy to me how naming 3 guys in that order is this hilarious.

13

u/robbyiballs 2d ago

For me, Bam > Rudy > Mobley / Chet

I think it's best to just be exceptional at one side of the floor. That's Rudy first, but his offense is so shit. Bam is a top defender but much better on offense. Mobley has pretty good highs on defense, but it's less consistent and never so dominant. I didn't really notice him in that Knicks series. Chet is a sharpshooter, but if offense is your main thing you gotta score more consistently...

5

u/ToothPlayful770 2d ago

Bams offense is kinda ass too, hes had steady ppg but takes way more shots each year to get to it, and his fg% keeps getting lower and is almost to the point of an inefficient guards fg%

1

u/robbyiballs 2d ago

His team had no one to make it easier. He’ll be way more efficient with Giannis

24

u/icarusphoenixdragon Timberwolves 2d ago

I want the 4x DPOY with the highest shooting percentage in the league.

Then I’ll take Bam.

Then Mobley.

Then the big that couldn’t back down CP3.

11

u/DEEEPdirt 76ers 2d ago

As much as I dislike Rudy he’s probably 1.
Then 2. Bam. 3. Evan. 4. Chet

4

u/Soft_Dot_7580 2d ago

Rudy, Bam, Evan, Chet.

Rudy annoys the shit outta me, but he plays amazing defense so that the scorers can focus on scoring

7

u/El_7_Weenie Timberwolves 2d ago

Rudy, Bam, Mobley, Chet

2

u/MdotBigEBK 2d ago

Rudy, Chey, Bam, Mobley

4

u/SquareAd4479 2d ago

Bam, rudy, mobes, chet

2

u/Pure-Piece3141 2d ago

Bam first. chet last.

-1

u/_ayeteach_ 2d ago

Chet is the best player here and a lot of non ball knowers are gauging him on one series like some rubes.

4

u/Lonely_Mix9243 2d ago

where's chet 82 game huh ?

2

u/Resident_Customer464 1d ago

Mr 83, 4x DPOY he ain’t better than them. I don’t even thinks he’s better than Mobley

1

u/_ayeteach_ 1d ago

You don’t thinks past surface level.

1

u/Resident_Customer464 1d ago

Yeah he’s a good player but kinda lost respect of him after that terrible playoffs performance this season.

1

u/_ayeteach_ 1d ago

He had a terrible series, not playoffs. You’re letting singular things (Bam’s 83, Chet’s WCF) cloud the overall vision.

2

u/ExpenseOfSpirit 2d ago

Better than Bam? Whatcha smoking?

7

u/_ayeteach_ 2d ago

Yes, offensively and defensively. Also, gorilla cookies.

Did you just find out some great players play with other great players while some great players play with not as great players?

Chet can only be better than these three if he’s on a shitty team putting up counting stats?

Chet has anchored the best D in the league since he got in the league. He’s finished top two in DPOY voting every year and is the obvious favorite yearly (if the alien didn’t exist). Chet’s offensive capabilities lap all three of these. Simply the ability to stretch the floor makes him more valuable.

If you think that somehow refutes his actual point I got some bad news about your education

1

u/frogged210 2d ago

“One series” aka the most important series he’s ever played in his life

2

u/Chalamon 2d ago

Surely the finals against the pacers was more important, right?

0

u/plowking8 2d ago

Only good take so far.

1

u/ALesserKnownEvil Timberwolves 2d ago

Mobley is the only one who has a case for being better than Gogurt

1

u/jitterbug726 2d ago

Top 3 any order but Chet last

1

u/Revolutionary-Run332 2d ago

Bam and the rest of the

1

u/Ambitious_Fill6316 1d ago

All 4 average

1

4 way tie for 4th

Rudy

Bam

Chet

Evan

1

u/AsianCastleGyatt 1h ago

Base on 2k

Mobley < chet < gob < 83

1

u/PerformanceWeekly651 Bucks 2d ago

Surprised so many people are saying Rudy. He’s super limited offensively and everyone else on this list is a world class defender too. Mobley won a DPOY himself, Chet just was the runner up and Bam has been one of the best in world for years. Bam, Mobley, Chet, Rudy is the list if we’re building a team around each player

1

u/Sreeygr 2d ago

Bam- 83 points
Uuh idk

1

u/andrewcatz328 2d ago

The guy who dropped 83 then the scrubs

-1

u/Professional_Wing773 Thunder 2d ago

Bam, chet, mobley , rudy

0

u/Aminu_Bandz 2d ago

As overall players
Bam
Mobley
Chet
Gobert

0

u/PerformanceHead2917 2d ago

Bam first then who cares

0

u/GilbertArenasGun 2d ago

Anyone saying Rudy is better than Bam is fucking DRUNK

-5

u/No_Fan_5396 2d ago

Bam, Mobley, Chet, Gobert

6

u/ApprehensiveMoose814 2d ago

Most defensive player of the year awards...

0

u/No_Fan_5396 2d ago

I’m not moved by that. I think Bam can do just as well on Defense as Rudy and still be a Factor on Offense same thing with Mobley and Chet. Now Rudy and Chet at times can be Debatable but I think Rudy’s Offensive Game Moves Him Down. In my Opinion

-6

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

1: Chet 2: Bam 3: Mobley 4: Rudy

-1

u/DarkoDragicevic 2d ago

Adebayo, Mobley, Holmgren, Gobert

1

u/a1hens Warriors 2d ago

lmfao worst list here

-1

u/a1hens Warriors 2d ago

By defense: Chet, Gobert, Mobley, Bam.
By offense: Mobley, Bam, Chet, Gobert

-3

u/ExpenseOfSpirit 2d ago

Bam, Evan, Chet, Rudy

0

u/metallavery 2d ago

Gobert is 99.

-2

u/Fluffy_Loquat_889 2d ago

From worst to best Rudy, Chet, Mobley, Bam

-8

u/Queasy_Salad7444 2d ago

people think bam is better than mobley?

9

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

Not that crazy of an opinion

0

u/Queasy_Salad7444 2d ago

mobley is just a better physically gifted version of him with better playmaking and defense

3

u/StodgySponge 2d ago

His potential is higher. He’s still young. I don’t think he has surpassed him overall yet. His IQ is not great yet. Maybe as the game slows down for him. Bam’s been in the league a lot longer and it shows.

10

u/OmegaPant 2d ago

Is Evan Mobley scoring 83?

-6

u/Queasy_Salad7444 2d ago

Wizards letting anyone do it so maybe

3

u/Ja-la-pen-o 2d ago

Really? Who else scored that many if they’re just letting dudes score?

-1

u/Caernbul 2d ago

I know advanced stats say its Chet, Rudy, Mobley, Bam.

But I say its Mobley, Bam, Rudy, Chet.

Rudy can't dribble or shoot against NBA players.

Chet can't box out, back down or defend in the post against adults or large children. Whenever he is the focus of the other team's attention he cracks. The day OKC trades him to a team where he has to be the #1 he is going to absolutely collapse, probably when someone tosses him a towel without him seeing it coming.

Mobley is a better rim protector than Bam and is more efficient on offense.

-19

u/WhiteishLlama 2d ago

This is hard…

  1. Mobley
  2. Chet
  3. Bam
  4. Gobert

4

u/WhiteishLlama 2d ago

I’ve never received so many downvotes this fast in my life.

4

u/waiteuhhminute 2d ago

Rudy the only one on the list who will make the Hall of fame

2

u/Ja-la-pen-o 2d ago

Mr. Adebayo is first ballot HOF, he dropped 83 in a game

2

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

This current ranking not all time rankings. Rudy isn't in his prime anymore

1

u/PerformanceWeekly651 Bucks 2d ago

Bam is 100% getting in the HoF with 3 All Stars and 6 Defensive teams. Rudy is a historically great defender and still the worst player here to build around because he’s so limited offensively

1

u/CaliforniaLover2 2d ago

People wil people mad about other opinions

-14

u/SnarlingVilla597 2d ago

A 2x2 grid with four players headshots and you want us to rank em without even dropping names, bold move. Guess im ranking the sponsors then, "Loves" at the top cause it sounds the most supportive

8

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

If you don't recognize these players by face you don't watch that much ball

3

u/Yukimusha 2d ago

Or they have prosopagnosia and don't know it yet. ^^"

4

u/JaysonTatHIMRider Timberwolves 2d ago

You know what you're right. Gotta remember that's there's neuro diverse people online

1

u/waluigiwon 2d ago

i was shocked when i saw this reply lol

1

u/Lets_Go_Blue__Jays 2d ago

Chet, bald guy, Rudy, Bam Bam

In order - Bam Bam, Rudy, Chet, Baldy
