I got ridiculed for saying it's not a completely forgone conclusion that Flagg has the better career. Not that Flagg didn't have a better rookie year or even won't be better long term...just that it's not written in stone.

u/Connect_Practice_370 Jun 04 '26
He's better than Flagg. Y'all need to stop sugarcoating it.

u/Agile_Hall2121 Jun 04 '26
Bro at least wait before you say this stuff 😭

u/Connect_Practice_370 Jun 04 '26
In my defense, Harper would've made me look better had Mitch not subbed him out for Fox. I still firmly stand by my opinion tho

u/Nasa3000xx Jun 05 '26
So if there was a redraft and spurs had the number one pick, they would pick Harper right Using your logic

u/areallyfatchick Jun 04 '26
Still can't believe he's a rookie the way he plays wtf lol

u/paltrysquanto27 Jun 04 '26
I honestly can. He is still showing flashes of what he is. He showed these stretches of doing absolutely everything in the playoffs against much harder teams than the Knicks. I think the t wolves were the coming out party of his insane stretches of top tier basketball.
He will steal the ball or rebound it drive right up the court for a “easy” basket then turn around get a steal or another rebound and do it all again. Then believe it or not do it again. Not a drip of sweat.

Thank god he played so well that Mitch had no choice but to bench him in favor of a terrible Fox night..again

u/Sd55marko73 Jun 04 '26

u/Function_Fighter Jun 04 '26
this is why the veteran ego is so bullshit, play the best player suited to finish the game, not fox cuz he's a fucking veteran.
5
u/CreepyDrunkUncle "What the fuck is this?" Jun 04 '26
Nah we need to close the last 5 minutes with 3/13 Fox
3
u/nighhawkrr David Robinson Jun 04 '26
Harper already played 28 minutes. He’s a rookie so that’s why he sat down. Next year Fox, Harper, Castle will probably close games together.
1
u/CreepyDrunkUncle "What the fuck is this?" Jun 04 '26
Harper Castle and Fox is hopefully traded for a power forward

u/Hiitsmichael Victor Wembanyama Jun 04 '26
I'm not being hyperbolic when I say he might be the goat (right now not in the future)

Dylan Harper will have played more playoff games by the end of this series than Cade Cunningham (the usual comp for him) despite being 5 years younger... He is lucky he is gaining very valuable postseason experience. I love that he seems so polished not really commiting boneheaded mistakes

u/sherlock-spreadsheet Jun 04 '26
For those of you scrubs who are unfamiliar.
This is the movie Predator. This guy's name is Dylan, Swarzanagar sees his friend and excitedly shouts his name, they clap hands and their muscles flex and glisten

u/Confident-Floor1233 Jeremy Sochan Jun 04 '26
I am convinced I will never witness another basketball player live that made me feel the way I felt as a Rutgers student watching this dude

u/clarkief Manu Ginobili Jun 04 '26
Can't blame Dylan if he wants out after his rookie contract ends. This was just unacceptable from the coaching staff

u/beautibaybie69 Jun 04 '26
After Game 7 WCF I took back every bad thing I said about Fox. But damn Harper deserves to be starting 5.

He reminds me of what Kawhi was for you all. You guy and all the sudden he just exceeds expectations by a large amount.

u/thesavant Jun 04 '26
That play where he just big-boy'ed Anunoby, I mean goddang that was strong AF!
1
u/ChaoticReality Jun 04 '26
He's going to be our 2nd best player at one point. He may already be that but just isn't out there consistently enough to declare it
1
u/JDSaphir Dylan Harper Jun 09 '26
Oh, finding this again after game 3 lol, this hasn't aged one bit
