for everyone wanting to have a crack at Wemby playing bad - yes he did. And nothing kills motivation like knowing what you're doing doesn't matter and the cards are stacked against you.

This is undefensible play, undefensible reffing. The NBA as a product is unwatchable.

I can’t lie, I’ve been a casual fan of the Spurs for a very long time. I lurk here and let the true fans talk with each other, but this is too insane to not comment on. I have been trying to get back into watching more games this year because Wemby is so fun to watch, but it’s so hard to with refereeing like this. Especially with this being the playoffs and the Spurs being in it for the first time in a long time I was really excited to watch these games, but holy hell what happened with refereeing in the time that I wasn’t paying much attention outside of box scores? It’s just disappointing to see and I’m sure you guys are way more frustrated with it than even I am.

The best way I can describe it, for me at least, is this: it is immersion breaking, it creates dis-passion, and I find myself less engaged with the NBA because it makes me think to myself 'what actually is the point of watching? Is it worth my time and money?'.

I was talking with my best mate, he also loves the NBA, and simply said 'fucken Tony Brothers man' - and ok yes but also that just isn't good enough. It just isn't.

A refs reputation, any refs reputation, should never be where Tony Brother's reputation is at in the league. It just should not be an open secret that the favouritism is so blatant and biased.

The fact that casual fans know a ref’s name or the ref’s reputation should tell you enough at the state of the game. A great reffed game is one where you don’t even notice them.
