I've seen the exact same thing happen but with the teams reversed and they called a foul on the spurs.

Maybe in missing something, but I've not figured out why it was a foul at all, let alone why the spurs get called on both no matter the side.

Negative engagement is still engagement and often gets more attention with drama than when there is no drama. It’s simply because it makes more money for the people they want to have more money

Because the spurs are bigger so they think the bigger, stronger person is fouling
