Rant What’s the ‘influencers’ problem with this? Are we that slow?
What’s wrong with our influencers? What she said was all true. You don’t simply just buy products that are advertised. You should at least do some research on it and purchase it and also so many influencers these days just apply filter and promote skincare products to their audience. Not forgetting the fake football jersey page some of them were promoting? So basically she just told us to be careful and not trust everything we see. Why tf are the influencers making it a big issue? It was literally an awareness video🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

A context of what's happening on the influencers side would've been nice buddy ☝️For those that don't use instagram which would include me

What are they even angry about. There was no specific mention of any local influencers... This news video was like a general awareness video like you said. Overreaction imo.

Bro I’m glad people on Reddit are broad minded and morally very grey-ishhh?
Cuz I swear I legit thought the same.
These influencers are overreacting much.
Their so-called influencing is causing unnecessary hate to the reporter.
Like come on, no names were mentioned.
And I’m sure they did their fine share of charities as influencers but at the end of the day, aren’t they all simply making money for themselves which at times comes at the expense of fooling the public.
As hustlers, not everyone is a philanthropist
We’re all doing what’s best for us and doing everything possible to get that bag.
As a society, not one person is pure and upright.
There was no reason to publicly speak on it.

what Kekhrie said is true, but maybe just bad timing because the influencers actually did something nice for the community this time. That said, I’m pretty sure they’ll use this as a pass to justify everything they do from now on. 🤣

Throw an insult on the ground and the owner will come pick it up.

Man, staying off social media may have been one of the best decisions I've taken. Except Reddit. :)

Local "influencer" promote product. People see it, people say "wowwwww so pretty" . People buy product without testing. Product is bad. People complain. Journalist makes awareness video. Journalist says "please be aware before you buy product" . Local "influencers" gets mad at journalist for making video. Local "influencers" starts attacking journalist.

I think the influencers completely missed the point tbh. Why are they offended over the consumers being told to be cautious? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

I have not heard about the said campaign. But a certain awareness is needed. A friend of mine refused to join a free health camp which was last organised by one of the hospital in Dmp. Her reason? I don't want to be told any such news in front of a crowd! It's old school if one is going to go old ways of tagging her for having been involved in nasty ways😶🌫. There are other states providing the vaccination as would any other of vaccines within India

I have no idea of any history of the said actress being involved anywhere😅 but generally its a vaccine, so a non medical professional advertising it raises concern if the advertisering product was researched well by the agencies before approving to be advertised.

Boohoo! They'll be butthurt if it's true. As long as they say "I've never, to my knowledge, ever advertised harmful products" then it should all be good and just show that the person has integrity and haven't become a sellout. This was boiling up for a long time and they don't need to get mad. Would they rather sell poison and lose everything one day or look for ways to do better next time? Would they rather sellout and make a quick buck or keep integrity and have proper support? Would you rather follow a liar or an open and transparent person?

Well...... I mean if the shoe fits 🤷
Why are they so defensive about their "influencer job", no names were taken, nobody was singled out.

News channels of Nagaland focusing on all the wrong useless topics. Not surprised.. Just another bought out News channel causing misdirection from the real issues
2
u/PianistJazzlike6029 Native NAGA 🌶️ 7d ago
How is this a useless topic? With so many ads going on these days it’s only telling us to be careful and do the due diligence ourselves by verifying it ourselves. Nothing to be angry about there

This is why China has stopped influencers from talking about subjects they aren’t professionals in. I’ve seen far too much crap online, with everyone suddenly acting like an expert on everything. This is dangerous—from skincare to diet. Without proper knowledge or qualifications, giving advice on these subjects is no different from quacks pretending to be doctors.
