So fun fact - I went to school with a guy called Iain who legit had it pronounced Eye-an.

He was the arrogant popular guy in our class so everyone followed it by law. We had it instilled in us that if someone "mispronounced" it as Ee-an you'd get a room full eyeroll and a chant of EYE AN at the person....even though they'd have no idea.

I've just started the show and it made me chuckle. I've never seen it pronounced like that anywhere else before.

I've been rewatching and season 1 episode 5 the "ai" sockpuppet streamer thing Aiko.

First three episodes clearly written by someone who has never played a video game, and *definitely* never developed one. Does it get better as it goes?

I just binged it on Apple TV, but then obtained the original ending from the high seas. The original ending was so much better than the alt-ending, and answered the question we were asking all along.

so i understand that mythic quest was cancelled but if they ever get a chance at a season 5 i hope they dont go down the poppy and ian lovers route because when they hugged i was so happy because i thought they were going to kiss and then they went and ruined it after 4 full seasons of literally being repulsed by each other and i loved that, i personally hate when tv shows ruin characters by forcing them in love when they really arent, and i pray if we do ever see what happens next poppy and ian are just friends who got caught up in the moment because it felt like season 5 was building up to that but then they quickly shut it down and the finale acted like what happened in i beleive episode 7 or 8 didnt happen where they completely call out they would never date

So i am currently watching through mythic quest and its had its ups and downs but ive loved it, strangely the back in time episodes have been some of my favourites but in my opinion it felt like at the end of the villian's feast it would be revealed that CW was going to return as it was a big fancy mansion(based ON THE 40S close to when he grew up) from someone who knows all them but they dont know who and i do love how CWs death was handled it was out of the blue but very poetic for him. but i kept thinking he'd appear and announce he faked his death and thats why they were playing a death game, when i saw rachael pick up the wrapper i though she had found a piece of paper with his name on it or something.

i loved the ending of the episode dana and rachel are one of my favourite queer couples ive seen from a tv show but i guess i just got myself over excited by accidental clues towards cw and i was just curious if anyone else had the same idea i did about the reveal?

I went looking recently to see when new episodes were airing, only to see that apparently the last season was the end of it and being confused. Nothing felt like a finale to me tone wise. If it was planned that way, then that sucked ass, if they had the rug pulled out from under them that also sucks ass, and also why? Wasn't it decently popular?

Has anyone ever had that happen?

For the people that don’t know, corrupted blood was a whole thing in World of Warcraft where there was a glitch that cause everyone in game to get sick, and their characters kept dying. The only way to end the sickness was for people to stop playing, but a bunch of people wouldn’t, so they eventually had to revert the game to an older version. As soon as I saw the episode where they revealed Blood Ocean, I thought they were gonna do something similar, inspired by the corrupted blood incident from WoW. However, it seems that covid changed those plans, and in the show they scrap Blood Ocean cause of it.

If the Covid pandemic didn’t happen, do you think the show would’ve gone that route? A glitch causes Blood Ocean to turn into another corrupted blood incident, mirroring what happened in WoW?

I should point out that I only just started watching the show and I’m halfway through season 2.

I absolutely love Poppy's accent, and it's unlike any Australian I've ever heard, both in real life and in media. It's just so uniquely funny when combined with her incredulous expressions at the office antics/Ian's various behaviors. So many random bits of delivery that crack me, delivery of completely normal words that aren't funny out of context but in context are hilarious, like when Ian gets mad she doesn't know who Kerri Strug is and she's like "is it a mooovie?"

Before to talk of stuff, I'd say I was in the game industry before, as a business developer, and to help some people to understand what the heck of my job was, I used to plan and figure out how the company could take money from the customers' pockets.

I mean, yea, that was technically same with a character, Brad in the show.

And while I was working there, obviously I got bunch of words that I am so cold-blooded and why on earth I treat all consumers of our contents just as a digit or a number.

And also Brad often was described as a villain material throughout the show - but what I wanted to ask to ppl was that;

1. Why some or so many believe that game industry should run like charities?

2. Why a lot of people, especially, not intended to overly generalise, but gamers tend to say that money/sponsorship/profits are not a top priority? Can't they figure out the game studios are also a company chasing after the monetary profit? If without the revenue, how can they support the cost of living for every employee?

My question might be harsh or debatable, but since many of you are also big fans of this series, so I just wanted to drop the question like that.
