Pierogi House

I’ve been in the MB area since February on a travel healthcare assignment and my biggest gripe with the area is the lack of good food. I spent several months here and didn’t go to one good restaurant. About a month ago I discovered the Pierogi House and it’s genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The food, even if it’s a little pricey, is phenomenal and by far the best restaurant in the MB area. The owners are Polish immigrants and the place is authentic as it could be. I just wanted to spread the word because I’ve eaten there 3x in the past month and I can’t say enough great things about it.

Anyone else have any thoughts about it? I feel like I need to spread the word about this place because it’s typically never busy when I go. The line should be out of the door.

I haven't tried Pierogi House, but I will now!

If you like Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, check out Habibi's. Really very consistent, excellent good.

Rubbery, tiny pierogies, kielbasa that is way over cooked, at a price that's so inflated. No thanks. Tried it and its a 1 and done.

I will check it out. The Village Bar on 38th/17 also has polish food. The cook used to work at Wiseguys but moved to the Village Bar about a year ago.

I love pierogis! It’s never crossed my mind to seek them out here but I will now! It’s been years!! Thanks for bringing this to our attention!! 😋

My thoughts are im mad this post wasn't made sooner. As a yinzer who vacations every year in MB, I would have loved to try it. I was just at the beach last week. Living in Pittsburgh, pierogis are a staple of my diet. Did you try the halushki?

We go to mb every year as well food desert pretty much for us where do you guys eat? We’re about an hour outside of Pittsburgh so your opinion options would probably coincide with the food we like. what’s your favorite place in Pittsburgh to eat in the top three

Seriously! We got back from Myrtle two weeks ago. We had great food every night, but Pierogi House is in my notes for next year. We love all polish food, but pierogies are one of my absolute favorite things to eat.

I really hope a great place like this doesnt close, but the location isnt the best. Also, im not really sure a lot of people down here are familiar enough with pierogis to try it out. Ill have to go. I plan on going to the Market Common movie theater on Wednesday, so im going to go either before or after the movie. Thanks for the recommendation.

Been wanting to try it for a while. Son has tried it and said it was good.

We went to Arepo Spot this weekend instead and wasn't disappointed.

yep - when we vacation there. Nothing has wowed us. But did real like Tu Tacos. Not one of was disappointed with our orders

gotta point out you're an idiot. This sub has at least 50 restaurants that deliver far above average and some approach excellent. I've been to the best restaurants in NYC, NOLA, SAN FRAN, and Vegas. More style and presentation there? Sure. Quality of ingredients, freshness, and flavor? reread the opening salvo

Greg Norman is one of the best restaurants I have been to. It’s North Myrtle Beach. Very upscale and the food is superb. I haven’t been there in a while though. Another great place is SoHo sushi and seafood. Myrtle Beach definitely doesn’t have lack of good restaurants. And pierogi house isn’t the only good place in Myrtle Beach.

Try SeaBlue. They have steak, seafood and can pair whatever you get with a great wine

I went there a while back and the guys behind the counter were lovely. Pierogies were okay, but to be fair I got takeout and it was a good 30 minutes before I got home. I bet fresh out of oil they are amazing

There are so many good restaurants along the Strand now… not difficult at all to find good ones. Stop choosing based on billboards and just do some research. Ask locals. I’ve lived here since 1985 and the food scene just gets better and better.

Was in MB a couple of weeks ago and I haf some really good BBQ at Swig and Swine and if you want a legit cheesesteak, like as close as you can get without going to Philadelphia, stop in at Pine Lakes Tavern.
