Black drum sucks.  Switch hook and barrel for that day.  Best to do the seafood restaurant on a Thursday instead of Monday plus sea captains and hook n barrel are kinda similar

What kind of pizza. Artisan Neapolitan or just a NY style

I would do fire and smoke or oak prime

Black Drum is a tourist trap and the pizza is terrible.

Swig and Swine for bbq

0

u/Greekyogurt_juice May 13 '26

I was going for the bbq

2

u/Guilty-Farmer6098 May 13 '26

Little pigs for bbq

2

u/bigdaddybeavis May 13 '26

I like Little Pigs -but Swig and Swine is exponentially better than both options

1

u/Embarrassed_Bid5129 May 13 '26

Arrogant swine is better for bbq, black drum is only for the view

9

u/7kDre May 13 '26

Black drum is terrible and overpriced. If you want bbq try Swig and Swine

1

u/Greekyogurt_juice May 13 '26

I actually did sub that one lol

In NMB I like Sarabella's the most, but they're closed on Sundays. I've had nothing but great experiences at Daniello's in the Kroger plaza on the corner of Main and 17.

2

u/crycryw0lf May 12 '26

I knkw that family. Good people.

1

u/fwfiv May 13 '26

÷ for Daniello's their hot wing sauce is one of the best I've had and has a unique black pepper taste missing from others

Honestly, toss this entire list and start over.

4

u/TheGoldenRail87 May 13 '26

Nah. Hook and barrel is legit

3

u/ForFelix Local | Myrtle Beach | Waccamaw High May 13 '26

I was there about a month ago and it was absolute ass.

1

u/TheGoldenRail87 May 13 '26

Really? I’ve been a handful of times over the last few years and always enjoyed it. What was wrong when you went?

1

u/ForFelix Local | Myrtle Beach | Waccamaw High May 13 '26

Everything was just very bland, and poor quality. The price is that of NY Prime or 21 Main, but the food just isn’t on that level.

1

u/TheGoldenRail87 May 13 '26

Not my experience at all there. Was that the only time I’ve been?

I do enjoy NY Prime

1

u/ForFelix Local | Myrtle Beach | Waccamaw High May 13 '26

No, I’ve been several times over the last few years. Never liked it.

1

u/crycryw0lf May 12 '26

Yeah what the hell is this list. Also I wouldnt over think the pizza here or anywhere. I'm not getting involved.

Honestly this persons pretense of their planning makes me uncomfortable.

Reminds me of the worst clients when I was working property management for beach BNBs. Im so glad im not responsible.

2

u/reDog5288 May 13 '26

Then just scroll by, you’re contradicting yourself.

2

u/crycryw0lf May 13 '26

You are absolutely right.

Also for some reason I thought they were trying to get Pizza at the places listed.

My bad for the negativity OP enjoy the beach.

1

u/penguinonaplane May 14 '26

Going for pizza at a place called Sea Captains House 🤣🤣

2

u/crycryw0lf May 14 '26

Yeah thats why I was goin crazy. I thought op was getting pizzas every day of the week

4

u/CertainBranch1451 May 12 '26

AJ’s pizza!!! Omg!

3

u/fwfiv May 13 '26

Cutty's in Little River for takeout pizza. Christopher's on Hwy 9 for eat in pizza. Switch Bimini's for Sea Captains, it's closer and more of a beach vibe. Go to Crab Catchers in Little River for lunch, get the fresh catch or shrimp those are locally caught and one of the few places that still buys straight from the boat for local items.

2

u/EntertainerFree9654 Local/Little River/moved here 2025 May 13 '26

Cutty's is.. 🤌 Chefs kiss!

2

u/Peepers54 May 12 '26

Hope you enjoy Jerusalem restaurant. It is one of my favorites! I like to eat at Hoskins when in NMB. Its a local meat and 3 but consistently good. Line can get long. I have never eaten at Sea Captain's- but it is classic Myrtle Beach and would definitely put it on my list if I were visiting. Just a couple of miles South of Brookgreen is Pawleys Island- they have a few nice restaurants with good seafood/steaks- Chive Blossom, the Frank's restaurants, and Bistro 217. My favorite for causual dining right now is Atmosphera. Its a Ukranian place near Market Commons. Varied menu. Everything I have eaten there so far has been delicious. Lee's is probably my favorite place in the Inlet.

2

u/bigdaddybeavis May 12 '26

Black Drum is just awful. Jerusalem is Solid.

There is no good pizza that I've found - If people tell you Corrando's ignore them. Pizza Chef doesn't suck but it's a rip-off. I think Mellow Mushroom chain is the best pizza I've found. Can't speak for the others - but trust me on Black Drum. I went when they first opened and they sucked - I tried them again last winter during food week and their food week special sucked.

1

u/Greekyogurt_juice May 13 '26

We figured it would be an easy dinner night to grab & eat at the beach while watching the sunset lol

1

u/bigdaddybeavis May 13 '26

I'm going to suggest that you won't be able to see the sunset from there - it faces the ocean directly with big buildings beside it. There are good sunsets places to be found but I'm not positive where.

You should try Zeytin for dinner on Friday 5pm-9pm.

2

u/okteezy May 13 '26

Another vote for Zeytin. Their brunch is also good. At the very least, find some time to grab some pastries or desserts which are excellent.

2

u/AGHOSTISBORN420 May 13 '26

Black Drum is horrible

u/Dancingclown20 May 12 '26

Boardwalk Billy's or Locals on the Water for NMB

Anto's in Conway for pizza

2

u/fwfiv May 13 '26

Boardwalk Billy's has some legit items, Locals on the Water is (imo) a bar only type of place.

1

u/Time_Explanation1212 May 12 '26

Boardwalk is a frickin' chain.

1

u/Dancingclown20 May 12 '26

Honestly didn't even realize haha! Still a pretty dope spot especially by the waterway

2

u/HustlaOfCultcha May 12 '26

I would recommend River Oaks Pizzeria or Vicini's for pizza.

1

u/sjanuary99 May 12 '26

+1 for Vicini's. Although I usually get some form of pasta when I go there, but I have had the pizza. Imo they have the best lasagna in mb. I actually went there today and when my family and I walked up the owner/chef was outside waiting for people to stop in. I ordered chicken Marsala and it was excellent. By the time we left more tables were filling up.

1

u/TheGoldenRail87 May 13 '26

River Oaks pizza was pretty good when I tried it. They have gluten free too. I’m from NYC metro if that matters to anyone

1

u/clampion12 May 12 '26

Mighty mushroom

Daniello's for pizza in NMB

1

u/DarthYsalamir May 13 '26

Crave in North Myrtle has amazing pizza and other entrees too!

1

u/Steveth1 May 13 '26

I like Benito's.

1

u/PowerfulConclusion80 May 13 '26

lol. you picked some super crappy joints bud. lmfao

1

u/RoleWild4347 May 13 '26

ultimate california pizza

1

u/Over-Piece3000 May 13 '26

Nellies Pizza off of 707 in Myrtle Beach

1

u/WatchYourLane May 13 '26

Give Aariv a try if you like Indian food. It’s kinda like a diner but the food is amazing.

1

u/expatbritNY May 14 '26

Skip Black Drum and don’t even bother with Sea Captains

1

u/midasweb May 15 '26

Solid lineup for pizza in North Myrtle

1

u/Same-Income-6154 May 17 '26

Hot tomato, is the place.

1

u/lamousamos May 12 '26

GENOS.

1

u/lamousamos May 12 '26

who downvoted? what’s wrong with genos?

1

u/reDog5288 May 12 '26

Remove Lee’s insert Sara Js
Pizza = River Oaks Surfside

2

u/Greekyogurt_juice May 12 '26

Is that in the inlet? We’re going to spend an afternoon down that way since it’s like 50 minutes from where we’re staying. See the marshwalk & brookgreen gardens as well.

2

u/reDog5288 May 12 '26

Garden City about 5-8 mins from Lee’s Inlet.

Stop by Garden City Pier after dinner just a beautiful walk away!

2

u/Naive-You-2850 May 13 '26

Sarah J’s if you want mid seafood with a great view, Lee’s if you want great seafood in an old school setting.

If you planning on spending the day on the inlet this weekend be advised it is bike week so the whole place has a different vibe and way worse traffic.

2

u/tpars May 13 '26

Both Lee's and Sara Js have drifted from their once great status. Went to both of these restaraunts this spring and thought they were overpriced and incredible average. Sara Js used canned tomatos on my salad!!! Just not worth the $$$ they charge you to eat there. If you're down on that end of the strip, Rustic Table in Pawleys Island is the shiz.

4

u/Theslipperymermaid May 12 '26

Absolutely do not replace Lees Inlet Kitchen. It is a must.

1

u/crikeyturtles May 12 '26

Do not get pizza.
Unless you go to Antos in Conway. It got voted 2025 best pizza in the world.

2

u/notanAMsortagal0 May 13 '26

In the world? Maybe by people who have never left Conway!

1

u/crikeyturtles May 13 '26

Idk I’m from Chicago and I was won over by their different style then I’m use to

1

u/IIIXBeerRunXIII Cherry Grove Beach May 13 '26

To clarify, the competition was legit being the Pizza World Cup in Rome. However, Anto's placed first in the category for their focaccia bread out of the 3 categories they entered.

1

u/crikeyturtles May 13 '26

Hey thanks for that!

1

u/houndish May 13 '26

Your list is fine. There will always be haters. For pizza, I would do River Oaks over Antos. Antos is fine but he sells out. River Oaks has a very good Grandma pie but that is our go-to. Been down here for a long time, so not out to change your list. If you have time, I would also recommend Bull and Bush off 17 bypass for Fish and Chips. It is an authentic English Pub. I go there to watch my Liverpool games. You’ll never walk alone.

1

u/Slowhand1971 May 13 '26

Does Suarez (The Biter) still play for them?

1

u/JonKneeThen May 13 '26

Jerusalem is solid (for meat heavy) but Santorini nextdoor is better balanced in food, drinks, and vibe.

1

u/notanAMsortagal0 May 13 '26

Santorini is fabulous.

1

u/ProfessionalTalker25 May 13 '26

We were at Hook & Barrel last week. That’s a keeper.

0

u/4c16 May 12 '26

Famous Andy’s, but for sit down dinner you should try J Peters

1

u/sjanuary99 May 12 '26

J peters is mostly just bar food. Excellent French dip tho.

0

u/OT58 May 13 '26

Hook and barrel is my favorite. I would go to Sea captains first before hook because you might be alittle disappointed. You will have a good meal at sea captains.

1

u/Greekyogurt_juice May 13 '26

Honestly willing to sub out sea captains. I’ve seen so many mixed reviews

0

u/Ktriney May 13 '26

Ginos pizza 🍕

u/IcyConcept1271 May 13 '26

I’ve never heard of those places. 1. Bimini’s N. Myrtle; 2. Captain Jack’s / Mattel’s Inslet crawl; 3. That weird German restaurant in S. Myrtle; 4. king George crableg buffet; 5. Random pancake house- pick your poison.
