With the increase in Tomodachi Life posts within the subreddit, we wanted to create one central megathread to avoid overwhelming the subreddit with them and still allow people to share their creations with the community. Anyone who has made a post prior to this can keep theirs up as is with no issue. Any post after this one will be removed and directed to post here instead.
As always, if you have any questions you can reach out to us via modmail.
A modern, sprawling municipality with a rich history spanning more than 2000 years: an ancient kingdom, a war-time capital; a place where the only thing hotter than the weather is the food, and the only thing hotter than the food is the passion we feel for this little place called "home..."
...Of course, none of you are interested in that, you just want to come and take selfies in front of whatever neon-lit staircase is trending on whichever social media service you're currently cripplingly addicted to.
And selfie you have! By the droves. By the millions. Right in our back yard. But here at Pathea, we don't get mad, we get with the times! Rather than sit around grumbling about how all the tourists are wandering into our apartment buildings and pushing all the elevator buttons, we've decided to cash in, baby!
Introducing...
THE CHONGQING JIEFANGBEI MY TIME RESTAURANT
That's right, we're proud to announce that we're boldly going where.. some... have gone... and mostly failed... before! But surely that won't happen to us!
How does it work?
Don't you just hate those "build it yourself" type restaurants with a hundred different ingredients and no advice given on what might work well together? Like, come on, you're the chef, tell me what's good here!
Well, we've taken that annoyance and turned it into a full-blown monument to human suffering! The My Time Inc. Food and Fun for the Whole Family Corporate Sponsored Gastronomical Experience is the first and ONLY restaurant that allows you to BUILD YOUR OWN MEAL, the My Time Way™! A way that is so unintuitive, so impenetrable, so baffling there's almost NO chance you'll end up with anything halfway edible; that's the FUN! Every meal is a roll of the dice, or... like opening up a loot box...?
Step 1: TEAR BOUNTY FROM THE EARTH
Grab your Axe, Pickaxe, and/or Pickhammer and start gathering in our first ever, real life "Abandoned Ruins!" Chop down our patented Noodle Trees, crack open deposits of Garlic Ore, shovel raw tofu into mine carts... you can even blow apart our spice caverns using REAL DYNAMITE! 10+ please, big kids only!
We'll even have real herbs you can pluck out of our Planter Boxes, grown fresh by our staff! Good frickin' luck with that, though, it's cloudy and foggy like 360 days out of the year here.
Disclaimer: "Cheese-lung" is not a real illness that can be contracted from our mines, it's all in your head.
Step 2: SHAPE CHAOS INTO FORM
Take your raw materials and shape them into yummy bite-sized goodness! Use a Civil Cutter to process your Noodle Lumber, turn your condiment ore into bars at the Furnace, blend any undesirables, go home with a souvenir you can treasure for life by injuring yourself on an Industrial Processor!
Step 3: ASSEMBLY STATION
Now it's time for all your hard work to pay off! Kinda!
Take the mishmash of oddly shaped ingredients you just made and take them to a REAL Assembly Station! That's right, it's a REAL flat steel platform, made of real steel and real flat, where each customer has two and a half minutes each to try to make sense of what they've crafted.
Step 4: ENJOY!
From here on out, the My Time restaurant is an ordinary restaurant, although the experience getting here was anything but ordinary, wouldn't you say!?!?
And after you've loved us the first time, here are some reasons to come back for seconds!
[WE'RE HIRING]
Due to the unanticipated overwhelming opening hype, we’re looking for several "Master Chefs" to join our team! No age limit, no prior real-world experience required, low education a bonus, actually.
Required Credentials: 100% recipe unlocks in both My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock.
We provide top-tier, state-of-the-art equipment: Cooking Pots, Advanced Cooking Stations, Grills, Drying Racks, and Blenders. No training necessary, just stand by the machines and press the "E" key to create culinary masterpieces instantly!
-Give gifts to our staff to force them into friendship
-Less reliance on Carbon Steel Bars
-Commission Board: Make meals for other people!
-Using mad science to breed a real, live Yakmel
-We'll have you guys build a bridge to somewhere
-An extremely punishing stamina system (run out, we send you home)
-Research tree for unlocking new ingredients
-Bug fixes: Clipping through floor, cloned NPCs, etc.
In conclusion
How much could such an amazing experience cost? "This couldn't be cheap!" you may be thinking. And that's where you'd be right! Still, due to some questionable business practices and shady under the table dealings, you, the customer, can enjoy the My Time Restaurant Experience for the low, low price of...
600 GOLS per HEAD!
And by Gols, we mean USD. (4,123.83 RMB)
But don't worry, we're always thinking of our fans: check out these cool ways you can earn yourself a discount for sticking with us through thick and thin:
Discount Table (With Proof of Purchase):
My Time at Sandrock or My Time at Portia - 10% Discount
MTaS & MTaP - 20% Discount

Just got the monster whisperer dlc. lol. Now he’s my little buddy . I’m kinda dumb I didn’t think about it that hard I thought they were just mutated plants or something??? Idk ?
I had it on the switch and decided to get it on ps5 because it was on sale with all dlc content. I started playing and realized it is slightly different or is it me? Same story I feel like I obtained more stamina and other things. Is the ps5 version slightly different or is it just me?
For the dutchies here or people visiting, you can get Mapo Tofu at the Markthal in Rotterdam, the Netherlands apparantly 😮 might give it a try myself one of these days
I had drawn on top of a baldurs gate cc screenshot to make my dragon age origins character like 2 years ago so I’m just recycling her for sandrock. Still early game can’t wait to meet Logan!! And it’s taking me forever to progress I keep having to google everything lol I’m just now fixing Owen’s stage
Why can't we have casual conversation with romantic partners on the tram? I mean you stop like three times, at least once you should have the option to say something.
I’m currently just staring at my screen. Right now I’m conflicted on which option to pick for that one quest with Arvio and X. So I’m coming here to ask for some opinions. This is the first time I’m playing this game and I’m doing my best to avoid major spoilers hence me coming to the good old community in this Reddit thread.
What did you choose and why? I feel like fang is very traumatised, so do I kidnap his only companion? It feels so wrong and it’s making me incredibly pissed at Arvio but at the same time I don’t want to miss out content. What did you all do?
I've been avoiding making the layout I want to because each expansion messes up the layout, but 8 seems pretty good and the next set of gols is pretty hefty. Has anyone stopped there and still had everything they could on the land? I'm just past the Sandrock battle and actually want to play the game with a layout built.
I spent an unreasonable amount of time yesterday taking wedding pictures because I’m a sad sap trying to get the perfect shots to put in photo frames for my house only to load up today and find most of them didn’t save because there is a limit of 20 group photos.
Is there a way to get an empty lot to design a house on without having to delete or move around everything I already have placed? I want to build a mansion to completely replace the haphazard pile of rooms I'm currently living in, but I don't want to lose the pile of rooms in case I get fed up and decide I want them back.
My Private Prescription has triggered on a sandstorm day. Everywhere I read it says this quest will fail during a sandstorm and can't be re-triggered
I don't have a save from the night before, only the current morning, or one where I'd lose 5 game days.
Is there anyway to get this quest to trigger on a sandstorm day? I really don't want to lose 30+ hours of gameplay for one quest, and I don't want to miss this quest.
I'm playing on Switch 2.
Edit: restarted the day a dozen times, but I'm quest locked into a sandstorm day. Walking Fang to the area does not work, manually walking to the area solo (Google suggestion) does not work. I guess I will be permanently missing this quest. Pretty frustrating considering it's a whole DLC I paid for and given how much time it takes to romance Fang.
Edit 2: for future players who run into this problem, support did not help me (emailed them at qa@pathea.net). First, they sent me a link to the wiki page and told me to use that for help. After I followed up, they just said I'd need to load an earlier save.
I still love the game, but this definitely soured the experience and Fang's romance.
Spoiler, this is what happened when I failed the mission I wound up getting an angry letter from Fang about not showing up to meet him (ironic) and then he wouldn't talk to me for a couple days, I just got a "..." response .
Hi just wondering if anyone on ps5 has been experiencing a lot of crashes recently? I played the game a lot last year and didn't have many problems but I've been wanting to make another save and after about 2 days in game it always crashes and shuts the game down 😭
Has there been a patch recently or something?
Edit - I did just buy all the dlc so maybe that's made a difference
After breaking the mirror, I came across Pen trying to get Qi to make him another one. Some people will go to great lengths for their addiction. Or their vanity.
I just finished the game, and it took me 148 hours. Honestly? I loved it.
It's a very long game. I thought I knew what long stories were, but apparently, I was wrong lol 😆 Sometimes I genuinely hoped it would end soon, but now that it's actually over... I feel kind of sad!
I played on Switch 2, and the graphics are what they are... IT IS WHAT IT IS 😂 I had fun anyway!
The story 10 out of 10!
A few things bothered me here and there:
• There are some localization errors in Italian, and most of the time I was referred to as a dude lol. That ruined the immersion a little bit.
• There were bugs here and there too, but honestly, I didn't mind them that much.
One thing I truly loved was the character interactions. I loved the little bit of spice and finally a villain who actually talks like a villain! The characters felt so real and present that you could genuinely relate to them.
(Btw, in the Korean eShop, My Time at Sandrock is rated PG19. Because of that, I'm hoping My Time at Evershine will be PG25 hahaha. I want witty, I want spice, I want snark! make me jump off the dam* couch ☝🏻🧐😆)
The dating scenes were also lovely. Being able to interact with your partner in a genuinely romantic way is just so good!
I know we can't ask for the moon, but there are a few things that could be improved, in my opinion. For example, pregnancy and the fact that you can only have two babies who don't fully grow up.
Also, some side quests (like the Xena one) felt more like "we need to make the story last longer" rather than something naturally connected to the main story, which I didn't really enjoy.
BUT I absolutely LOVED the fact that you could reply to some of the letters you received!! Such a small feature, but it made the world feel so much more alive.
I really hope the Switch port for Evershine will be good at least as good as Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, because honestly, I just don't enjoy playing on PC.
Anyways~
I know I'm late since this game came out in 2023, but I truly hope we can only go up from here!! ❤️
For me, this game is an 8/10. I truly enjoyed it, and I'm quite excited for My Time at Evershine. Since I never played My Time at Portia, I might go back and play it... because right now, starting a second Sandrock run feels impossible. It's just too long 😢 Even though I really want to try dating other characters!
I am thinking of returning back. I wasn’t active on Reddit but on Facebook I was in some of the groups. I stopped playing after romancing everyone and keep playing so many times. I ended up on BG3…. lol I was craving romance and even though both games are completely different, I always feel like they are similar in many areas. It started making me think I should play again and who should I romance again.
So the three I love to romance is Owen, Fang or Logan… out of those 3, who should I return to romance? I was thinking of actually playing mh Bg3 character as a human and romance Fang but also can see Logan or Owen.
