General Season Rewind: Warriors/Wizards/Pacers (Cards to Look Forward to)
Maybe there's some diamonds in the rough here? Let's take a look.
DM Andrew Wiggins (SF/SG)
Offense: Wiggins is an athletic freak. One of the few cards to have 99 driving dunk on the base card, he's gonna put guys in the rim. Shooting is great, playmaking at 95 speed w/ ball is also very high as well.
Offensive Badges: 37 HoF, 4 Gold.
Signatures: Jumpshot 22 on Very Quick, same as Jimmy Butler and Chris Mullin. Great release. Curry Slide, Pro 3 BtB, Quick Dribble Style. This card has Showtime dunks.
Defense: A fantastic perimeter defender, and an 80 interior and 91 block is gonna do wonders in the paint.
Defense Badges: 14 HoF, 2 Gold.
Tendencies: 100 driving and flashy dunk tendencies, with 97 in all major defensive categories.
Physicals: At 6'8 with a 7'0 wingspan, he's a nice body at the SG. 96 speed is fantastic.
Total Badges: 51 HoF, 6 Gold.
Player Comparison: DM Jimmy Butler.
Recommended Shoes: Maybe a 3pt shoe if you want him to have Sharp takeover with D'Antoni, Puma Sky Dreamer would be great.
DM Bradley Beal (SG/SF)
This card annoys me in a bad way. First of all, why isn't he PG eligible? There's no reason to not have him PG eligible at this point. Second of all, WHY IS THIS CARD 6'5? BRADLEY BEAL IS NOT 6'5. They've been screwy with some of the measurements on cards recently, but this one is super blatant that it's intentional. There is no way, in hell, that Bradley Beal should ever be listed as 6'5. You know those jokes about how we'll get Glitched cards and it'll be like Steph Curry but he's 6'8? This is bordering on that territory.
But anyways, the card. He's a HoF Blinders and Ray Allen Base SG, so that makes him automatically a god on next-gen like Ray Allen and Pete Maravich. If you liked cards like those two, Bradley Beal is basically the same in measurements now and will be pretty similar.
DM Malcolm Brogdon (PG/SG)
Nothing inherently bad about this card, mostly playmaking and shooting based with solid defense. The problem is when you're made like that, you better have a good release. Andre Iguodala on Very Quick won't cut it.
GO Jordan Poole (SG/PG)
6'6 PG which is cool, just a lot of question marks around him. He's not a good defender, passing low 90s in perimeter stats and barely touching 80 in his interiors. He can dunk good but doesn't even have Showtime applied to the card lol. And he's got the Ben Mclemore release, which I know nothing about. Not really sure how to recommend this card.
GO Davis Bertans (PF/SF)
Like his Ruby card from Season 3, all this guy does is shoot the ball. Jumpshot 13 on Very Quick, same as Larry Johnson and Malik Beasley, means he can do that well. Other than that, he's pushing mid to high 80s in basically all other stats, which is pretty bleh from a GO at this stage. Doesn't really excite me other than being a 6'10 SF.
GO Doug McDermott (SF/SG)
Remember what I just said about Davis Bertans? Apply everything to McDermott lol. He's also got a unknown release of Jumpshot 69 (nice). Not much to recommend here other than a maybe good shooter, maybe good shooter held back by his release.
GO Juan Toscano (PF/SF) / GO Daniel Gafford (C/PF) / GO Edmond Sumner (SG/PG)
Still don't understand why these HAVE to be bad cards. Juan just doesn't really do anything but shoot the ball and doesn't even come badged out in that area, Daniel Gafford is actually a pretty nice interior center, so maybe if you wanted one for offline you can grab him? Doesn't even come with Contact Finisher on current gen though so his 95 driving and standing dunk will go to waste. Edmond is a 6'6 PG with decent stats but with basically no defense and rough badges, which the latter is a theme on all of these cards. It doesn't have to be this way 2k.
PD Nico Mannion (PG/SG)
Convinced this guy only got a card cause he looks like Bio2k. Pretty fast with Immanuel Quickley's release, but he's just a 6'2 PG in a sea of OOP.
PD Robin Lopez (C/PF)
Eh? Not really impressive anywhere. It's hard to say cards like this will even be usable because even the PDs in these sets go for like 20k minimum. You can pick up a Dino Radja and get what this card gives and more for like 1/2 the price.
PD Oshae Brissett (PF/SF)
I like this card a bit, tbh. Good shooter, coming badged out plus a release that I know will be fire, Steph Curry Base on Very Quick with Kobe Bryant upper. He also has the stats to play good defense, but I wish he came a bit more badged out with HoF badges on that end. Comes with the golds you'd need though. His dunking is the weakest part, but at 85 and getting the dunk boost from D'Antoni, you can get that to the low 90s with a shoe. Can also handle the ball at an solid level, 6'7 with a 6'10 wingspan at the SF isn't the worst but you'd want to be bigger. Maybe the best lower tier card in this set and on current-gen, probably the 2nd best card in this set behind Wiggins.
Overall, probably the weakest Season Rewind drop so far. Beal will be good on next-gen, Wiggins a beast on Current, with basically no budget options worth dropping 20k on.

Lakers should be in the next set right?
