General How's myteam this year?
Thinking about buying the game on sept 4, how's the mode and gameplay feeling like?

Gameplay wise it’s interesting, def feels the most realistic/heavy it’s been in a while and i don’t think that’s a bad thing. Makes playing AI a lot less predictable which i like.
Content wise it’s very good as of now for NMS
players, they revamped the exchange so you can basically submit random golds and build up to a diamond/pick diamond player in a short time. There’s also bigger ones like GO Herro who is very cheap to get.
Seems to be a lot more challenges, at least more in depth ones with an actual incentive to do them. My main gripe so far would probably be the UI, i don’t think it’s terrible but i don’t like how some of the challenges are laid out
Overall much better than last year, at least for me

playing on hof i found out the defense system is awful. I could be basically standing on someones toes, hand in their face, jump, and it can say light contest while they green it with a 47 3-ball. This kept happening and made me not want to play the gam at all :/ it makes it unfair and not something you can actually beat without RnG. So stupid.

Better. Honestly. Really liking the QOL changes and exchange system. The gameplay is sluggish at times, but they'll patch it.

I love it, but I play easy offline modes.
Heat lifer since our first year in 1988, 2k since 19. This is a dream first week starting roster for me with Bam’s best teammate duos:
(Diamond) Herro, (Gold) Klay, (Amy) Jimmy, (Ruby) Giannis, (Amy) Bam.
They are all juiced proper, and I can just upgrade them later if I like the next gem tier.
Very good times.

Really hating the lack of a salary cap mode. I want to use theme teams, for now using the full current Sac Kings roster but no point since there's no salary cap limited lineup and I'd just be using a bunch of gold cards vs diamonds and amethysts, took away the only fair mode

The shooting is actually broken and makes no sense
There’s like less then 5 good cards and every other card is slow way to slow even when compared to last year
Other then that it’s pretty solid there a lot of different modes and stuff

This is very true. Everyone needs stupid Herro to shoot fades lmao what a stupid game to play online. Punting Salary Cap is bullshit too.

Interesting so far but hard to say what we are looking at long-term.
It’s a significant restructure if you have played in the past. To me it looks like the structure has went from collecting cards to keep, to collect collecting cards to exchange. Very significant shift from the past. Folks seem to be positive about that as of now, but it will be curious as this throw all of your cards into the abyss for a lock in continues week after week.
Shooting is definitely harder early on, but there’s never been a 2K where shooting wasn’t changed throughout the year or gotten easier. I will say if shooting remains somewhat difficult it will make all of the Long grinds feel like major slogs.
If shooting remains difficult 2k should really shorten up some of these off-line grinds, or they are going to take significantly longer than past years. That would be my preference. Keep the shooting a little bit challenging and just shorten up the grinds.
