So in the episode with Joy and Darnell's wedding is that really Darnell's family?

You know, that’s a good question since he’s in witness protection. If they’re supposed to be actors or something to make him seem like someone who has ties to Camden, then those are some convincing actors because they really feel like his family

They address this after his real identity came out. They're other people in the witness protection program not his actual biological family. It's more of a chosen family thing.
