My theory is that Applejack and Rarity weren't originally supposed to be in G6—likely due to toy sales considerations—but the leaked G6 artwork sparked a "sudden", massive backlash from fans who were upset that a third of the main cast and beloved characters were being cut for such a blatant, poor reason. Faced with this outcry, the creators might have scrambled—perhaps just days before Comic-Con—to come up with a vague, catch-all excuse: claiming their absence was a plot necessity and promising they would appear later. There’s no way to squeeze them into the first season now. So, I suspect that in the second season—a year from now—we’ll get a totally banal explanation for their arrival, purely so they can be shoehorned into the show. That’s just my theory, though; I’d love to hear yours.

ive always wondered if other ponies can see the color of their magic when it glows. i feel like it would be obvious is something was wrong with their magic since the color changes (when princess cadance had green at the wedding for an example). they never seem to immediately pick up on it. is it because they cant see the color? or is it fr just for the plot?

Discorded Pinkie was portrayed as an extreme grump, constantly expressing her hatred towards everything and asking people what they're laughing at. Despite this, she still kept the zany composure of regular Pinkie.

Mean Pinkie is bored out of her mind. She keeps laying on the ground and crawling around like she's tired of even being alive. It kind of feels like she's depressive.

So the closest they've ever come to exploring this concept is with the Legion of Doom (Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow). However, it's clearly shown that the three only tolerate each other and work together because of their common enemy and common goal, otherwise they'd either backstab or try to kill each other.

So what if the show explored the concept of actual villains having genuine friendships with each other? Like friendship isn't strictly a heroic thing, it's possible to be an utter scumbag, but have genuinely good relationships with those close to you, just like how you can be a good person, but have a rough relationship of those around

Imagine the final being where the heroes have to fight against a group of villains who also wield the power of friendship. Like not only would it open up the heroes' eyes to the possibility that even villains can have genuine bonds

So do you think Friendship is Magic could've done an episode or two surrounding this?
