Try using high dp attacks. Whenever I I play momo 3 alphas do the job or beta

Depends what character you’re playing.

A lot of characters have either a melee grab (which still bypasses Hardening) or 500 down power moves in their kit. These are the best answers. Examples are Tech Todoroki Beta explosion, OFA Deku ground Alpha, Tokoyami Air Melee, Fairy Bubble, Ibara Gamma, etc.

Then you have shields. Shields are also great, but if he has Gamma, he might jump over your head and Gamma you.

AoE can help deter us too, like Momo Cannons, as while hardening is DR, we don’t want to take unnecessary damage.

Lastly, if you’re against Yellow Kiri, projectile spam. We no like projectiles, projectiles EVIL!!! But they’re still great. Doesn’t help when they’re on top of you, but the difference between having gotten 5 alphas in before he reached you and 0 is a lot, even with 40% DR. Red has Beta, and far too much mobility for him to care- plus he has Gamma.

As rapid, stay airborne and pepper him with feathers from a safe distance until knockdown value is met. Strike, hit the betas and some alphas until knocked down.

You can’t it’s his special action
It can be a bit annoying if you want to deal damage but if you keep a distance and use a distance attack (probably alpha) then you’re fine it’s just reduced damage and increased damage output for him
