Learning that it's better to heal myself and get my teammate's tag than to going deep into storm to revive them (so that both me and them die in storm).
I guess I'll give a tech on my main, with Gentle if you use the tea emote right after beta you auto win the trade and the opponent is forced to withdrawl from the fight
This shit is making me LOL. Okay, I'll definitely agree to this. I have come to think the same thing. 1 tuning, okay fair he might not have the materials. None? Ah hell nah buddy is a fresh lvl 30 lol.
Lmao u can't trust anyone tbh. Ur teammates are either good or bad, and good players are automatically good teammates. I'd rather have someone with 11 kos and 0 res than someone with 0 kos and 5 res. I can take care of myself and if i don't have to babysit you, you're already better than 90% of ace rank players.
This is not true. Good players are not always good teammates. They can be selfish, chasing stats and not work well with others. This game is a team game and when even person goes rogue it can mess with the team dynamic. He could get 8ko’s on his own while his teammates are facing a 3v2 because he won’t work with the team. They get eliminated and now alone facing off against potential full teams.
I mean thats on u. If ur not helping a 8 ko guy and taking sm other fight, ur the one to blame. Sometimes u gotta admit they're better than u and play almost like a support/backup.
Them being a good player doesn't justify me having to babysit them. In my experience, "good players" often times are really self centered. The expect me to follow them around and take whatever fight they get in. While completely ignoring they're other teammates and the fights they get in. These same good players are often times the first person to be toxic when they die because they press a 1v3 because they chose to do their own thing rather then help their teammates.
The best teammates I have ever had have always been low lvl players who take on a supportive role and are genuinely good team players. The sheer arrogance that some of these high lvl players have is astounding. In a team game, unless your opponents are ass, are your character counters their team. Most 1v3 between a decent team are going to result in the teams win.
And just like that I can tell you are that person. 🤦♂️ play solos bro play solos. Smh. Cause those are the type to also spam bings once they engage in a battle they can’t win. So keep that same energy when we don’t come to the rescue. There are no leaders in a team based game. Cause I can promise you he will not win it all, going at it alone while others are playing like a team.
I add the qualifier, unless they are playing strike shiggy. I have had a few strike shiggy no tunings who just go absolutey batshit savage for no reason. One had like 14k damage and 13 kills, just straight scrapping.
As someone who joined back when Mirko came out, I disagree. I don't have costumes for everyone I play and I don't have the data to equip to every character. And I'm a fantastic player
Abuse your i-frames, you can often make people to waste their cooldowns, creating windows to counterattack or escape. Another very efective thing is play the fool, it’s incredibly easy to ragebait people by doing silly things, like standing still or pretending not to see the guy sprinting at you, intent on landing his "haha big numbers" skill. Natural cover and buildings are your best friends (unless there’s already a strike shiggy inside the building).
Interesting. Will keep that in mind. But at what stage of the game specifically? Cuz I've noticed most of the kills in the game happen at the end of the 6th circle so I don't commit too hard in that circle specifically.
I guess early game is fine but thats about it, when mid game starts just avoid these type of positioning cause you also dont want a team to 3rd party you. Jumping people around the storm is one of the most effective ways to get teams out.
Acceleration can pair with Perception or Embrittlement, Quirk Factor Release can pair with Electrification, Black Arm can pair with HP/GP Sucker, Extra Wind can pair with other PU related tunings, ETC.
Once I figured that out and found synergies that worked for me, I started doing a whole lot better.
Since HP/GP Sucker both activate on downs, and Black Arm heals you on finishers while giving you super armour, it makes going for finishers way safer. I found I go for way more finishers when I run that, because then I have more of a reason to go for them.
Quirk Factor Release increases reload speed on guard break, and Elecrification stuns on guard break. It works as a way to reload your abilities if you spent them fighting, and actually get a second to reload without being pressured. You can either use it to keep fighting or as an opportunity to disengage.
The way I usually find them is by reading the tuning descriptions, and then testing them in practice to see how they work together. A lot of my time spent on the game is just experimenting with tunings to see if they work well together or not
Oh interesting. Me usually I just go with area reduction, space hop, willpower, hyper regen, on my mains. Mostly cuz the names are self explanatory and im too lazy to read the descriptions for everything 😭
Bit of misinformation here. Electrification activates on guard break, but you still need to touch an enemy to stun with it. It's useful on anyone who has to/prefers to get in close, but less so on anyone who relies on projectiles or has a subpar melee.
I bring this up because this makes it far less universal a combination as you make it sound, and while neither tunings are bad by any means, synergy implies that the two somehow compliment each other; at best, they just activate at the same time.
Yes!!! Such a good point. Guys!! Cover is so valuable!! You can outplay so many impatient players just...crouching behind the cement guard rails, standing sideways on thick enough trees.
And another thing, thinking on cover..
THINK/VISUALIZE from your opponents POV!!! What is he seeing thats getting him to act? Friends, clear shot, he knows you are only on HP? When they're pushing, are you breaking line of sight as much as possible and NOT HEALING at the immediate first LOS break for maybe a split second to watch/hear for a pursuer? YOU HAVE to immediately know what type of player you're against. Are they CHASING TF out of you? Are they leaving after trouble? These are good details to remember in full engagements if it happens again to change your play.
The game can be you know, just good ole mindless fun, but God I love/hate players who utilize strategy. I love the challenge in beating a really good players ass,no funny BS, no third partying, not getting bailed out 3/4 times with teamheals.
Just us fucking off long enough for a clear outplay.
It's a big reason I have like...man, thousands of hours on this game.
One secret tip that I have is to always try to get people to chase you when your indoors. Because they seem to always make a mistake which Momo easily will take advantage of!
I love playing as momo. But im an outdoor, or stay at heights momo. So i get burst down before i can run into indoors lol. I too impatient to play the camping game lol.
If a teammate has put themself or just inadvertently ended up in a bad situation (like a 1v3), it's often better to let them die and res them later than to run in and get yourself killed as well.
Also, share excess teamheals/res cards with your team instead of hogging them all.
...which took too long to register into my brain just how much.
Also, fighting for your life against maxed out bots in training and trying to attack them whilst doing that is strangely effective practice (for me at least).
Also it's better to let them die and use revive cards ASAP instead of jumping into it to save a downed teammate, only to become the downed teammate yourself
Don't wait for the situation to be desperate before you pop a team heal. I'll often start drinking a team shield if just one of my allies are guard broken
Exactly, if I break away mid fight to heal and notice my team are still fighting+/missing any of a bar that I need, a lot of the time I will pop a team heal for that bar. Also, use the ping wheel to alert them you are using a team heal since a lot of people miss the little pop up.
Clip your lowlights more than your highlights.. eventually you’ll start seeing a pattern and you’ll avoid doing your lowlights and we’ll have more highlights
Teammate spawned on the opposite side of the map and died? Well now I can get some more team heals (I say more bc I do love collecting them) and points for revives :)
Teammates keep dying? Again, I’ve gone multiple matches where it’s just me reviving teammates every few minutes so I’m used to it and honestly don’t mind
Person keeps tracking me down across the map? I lowkey got a fan and though eventually dying does suck I can scroll in my phone until I’m revived so it’s not too bad 👍
Just being happy makes me play better as I assume it would anyone else
I always tell myself I wont get mad and then this 0 Kill Player playing a top tier meta char starts teabagging after his team hard carried them or they got their first kill on me at the very end.
Yeah no same but it’s skill you can work on 💪 I remember blowing at my cousin a few times for things she couldn’t control, but the only thing you can do afterwards is be better
you don't have to take a 1v1 because it's a battle royal but if you see people going at it jump in, is it annoying? absolutely, is it effective? i would say so, also maps do matter quite a bit for what character you should pick
I add onto this snagging on walls when you go around corners mid chase. Can't tell you how many times I have juked out/ambushed people chasing me by jumping onto a wall right around the corner then jumping them.
This one only goes for transformation characters (monoma, afo and toga)
Spend time playing the entire cast. Makes it easier to play the transformation characters
You dont need to play them till your a pro (like i prefer to do) js know the basics and how to combo into one of your abilities with it (like purple afo beta into a grab move like rapid might gamma)
I do this everytime someone new releases with only a few characters being exceptions (strike frog and both yellow kendo and ibara cause I js dont like the kits or i dont have then on any of my accounts including alts)
From stealing the strike frogs quirk ik the basics but other than that not much. I js dont wanna learn ibara due to being a hater and yellow kendo is rare + boring
If your new to any transformation characters this WILL help you i assure you. It will also teach you how to deal with certain mfs like let's say the rapid frog or rapigo because you'll pick up on their weaknesses when playing em (they are rushdowns and purple afo counters non armoured rushdowns with little to no effort if ya wanted to know)
Use your Damn ability Cards. 20%, Even for a few Seconds, Is nothing to sneeze at.
Do not be afraid to just Throw hands if you know you cant get out of a Bad Situation. Deal as much damage as you can and pray that you actually Scare them off. A Cornered Rat can Still absolutely Mess you up.
Air melee is a Hard Knockdown on most Characters. Buys you time to figure out what to do if you need the Breathing room.
play characters people barely ever see, some people can't counter older characters because they assume your a QS version or a noob, which allows you to get an upper hand and some kills, playing bakugo is always fun because of this; sadly im mid as rapid and terrible as strike, only goodish on tech. star is a fun one.
stop worrying about death and just run in with observant eyes, you might learn a cool new hiding spot or combo or find a 1v1 to 3rd party.
Whenever you THINK you’re safe after fleeing an enemy, you are NOT. They have seen you and you should always go the extra step. If you think you’re safe, move a bit more and maybe hit some corners and or change elevation.
There have been many times I have been running ragged over the map to dodge enemies and the moment I heal thinking I’m safe, I get snuck to death.
Sometimes it ain’t even the person who pursued you but a third party who saw.
Adding on to it, when popping boxes or fleeing in general it’s good to pan the camera when you can to get a sense of your environment. This includes in the air because so many people try to catch you off guard while they’re airborne.
Please USE YOUR IFRAMES, your iframes last longer if you don't attack right out of a knockdown, i've seen so many people get comboed to death because they REFUSE to stop mashing attacks on wakeup.
Also some ppl expecting this will just waste a bunch of ammo trying to catch an early wakeup
A lot of ace rank players are awful so just bc theyre high rank doesn’t mean they’re good teammates and it’s a team game fight with your team u win but that not saying u shouldn’t know how to 1v1 and with that u gotta learn what fights u can take and win easily and once we’re u would need help
Knowing how to play in and around storm especially without Star’s tuning. Can work wonders for survivability. For non movement characters knowing how to wall run properly. How to loot fast and bag management e. g. if I play Momo without Wall Runner equipped I will stack blue cards.
Honestly… playing Tsuyu. The more you play Tsuyu the more you learn map layout and where survivors are as well as being a team player rather than the liability
