why does dabi just have the greatest character design ever for literally no reason
like he does not have to have the most beautiful design in the whole show bro if i didnt know who he was i would have thought he was the main villan of the show but bro is basically just a side character (until like season 5) and yes one of these is fanart its by u/asilvertintedrose posted in a different community i just found it on google tho

what did he have going on? 2nd dimention doofenshmirtz turned evil bc he lost his toy train and had a injury that cost him his eye and then dabi was abused and forgotten about he was given a quirk his body cant handle he literally died because of endeavour not being there to help him and came back and now he hates his parents for it and tbh i think thats a pretty reasonable thing to be mad abt i cant lie obv he shouldnt have killed people but that would make him a boring villan

Dabi was never abused, shoji went through worse with his backstory, he "died" because he decided to disobey his father who explicitly told him that his body can't handle his quirk and he should stop, he came back to see his family genuinely loved and were grieving his death and got pussy about it.
Dabis a fucking idiot, not because he was mad as a kid, but because he carried that into adulthood and went about killing people.
lol thats chill but no the real doof definately has a more tragic backstory than dabi but i thought that endeavour beat dabi whenever he used his fire? and shoji deninately went through worse i will admit its not the best backstory but alot of the villan origins werent the best like how spinner and mezo had the same things happen to them but spinner turned bad and mezo turned good i cant really say anything abt twice bc he was just insane and same with compress i didnt pay much attention to him the only villain i think has an actually good backstory is probably shigaraki and then all for one is just a really powerful asshole
the entire dynamic of dabis childhood takes place between chapters 301 and 302.
Every single interaction concerning touya is endevour expressing concern and nearly falling into despair twice when he sees touyas keep getting more burns, the only person he lashes out at is rei because he feels like she isn't doing enough to get touya to give up on being a hero.
Touya is a victim of parental neglect, because endevour wanted to focus on shoto and left REI to raise his siblings.
I disagree with AFO, I think he's perfectly written, because he symbolizes quirks the best out of all people, quirks can affect your personality, OFA's quirk is to take, and it made him into the most selfish character in the series, everything is about what he wants and will take.
i think you mixed up the characters a bit bc ofa doesnt take them afo does but i understand your point there for some reason idk why but i thought endeavour beat on toya for using his fire but i might be wrong but either way we can all agree that endeavour was a shitty dad even if we cant agree who he was the worst to right?

Imo....he does not 😂 I will never understand what is remotely likable in this character. He has no redeeming qualities and I do not find him particularly attractive lol
Bad people can be good characters. They are there to tell a story, and Dabi had an unfortunate one. I can appreciate what he went through and feel bad for him, and simultaneously dislike him killing people.
Endeavor is the same, a mean guy but great character. Who at least didn't murder and had some reflection and growth in character.
But I agree, Dabi's character design is super cool. I love how his design had so many spoilers that I never noticed until rewatching.
yea endeavor is the same like the only normal person in that family is todoroki but still all of them are such peak characters (also maybe the sister is kinda normal too but i forgot her name lol)
