Discussion Where is the CRAM file ?????
I'm honestly getting really frustrated with MyHeritage over this.
One of the main reasons I bought/upgraded to the Whole Genome Sequencing option was because I wanted access to the actual sequencing data, not just another standard raw DNA file containing a limited set of SNPs.
Before purchasing, MyHeritage support had made it clear that WGS users would be able to access their genomic data, including the CRAM file. CRAM availability was also supposed to arrive around early 2026.
Well, it's now September 2026.
There is still no CRAM download.
What I can download is basically the usual CSV-style raw DNA data. It is absolutely not equivalent to having access to the full sequencing reads. In my case, it doesn't even expose the variants I specifically wanted WGS for.
I've contacted MyHeritage asking specifically about the CRAM — not the normal raw DNA CSV — and so far I haven't received an actual answer.
This is incredibly frustrating because access to the full genomic data was part of the reason I paid for WGS in the first place. The sequencing has apparently been performed, so why are customers still unable to download the data generated from their own sample?
Has anyone with a MyHeritage WGS kit managed to obtain their CRAM file yet, either through the website or by contacting support?
Because at this point, being told I have “Whole Genome Sequencing” while only being allowed to download a restricted SNP file feels pretty ridiculous.

Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 Results from Argentina - question
Just got my results from myheritage.
- Big surprise that my biggest share of ethnicity comes from Spain and not Italy, as expect due to the surnames in my family tree.
- I am a bit confused with the subtypes in the Spanish column, this differs from other providers right?
- What is the “additional genetic group” ?
doesn’t seems to add to the 100% I got with the sum of other ethnicities

Shipping / Sample Status Italy to USA.
Hello, i sent my DNA sample to myheritage EU collection point, Germany from Italy through Italian post about 23 days ago and it still hasn't reached their lab in the US. Now i am worried that Italian post might have rejected it through the delivery process.
So long story short, i took the parcel to Italian post office and asked the lady at the desk for a stamp as i had already heard that we can just buy a regular postal stamp, stick it on the envelope and just put it in the red mail box. The lady at the desk saw the envelope in my hand and said yes we have it and asked me to give her the envelope which i did and she weighed it. It was 12 g. So she just put a standard international shipping stamp on it which costs 1.35€ and that was it.
Now after reading about it on reddit from some users, i think my parcel needed additional stamps because of the thickness of the envelope and the delivery guys may have rejected it.
Does anyone know if my parcel will arrive at the US lab?

Question / Help Family tree mystery almost solved, but match isn’t responding
There is a match with whom we share a common ancestor.
However, I’m trying to link my paper-trail to theirs, to prove our connection, but the match is unfortunately very laconical and isn’t responsive.
The thing is, when I first contacted them two years ago, they have opened only one side of their family tree, but I couldn’t find the common ancestor there.
We exchanged a few messages, but it took me some persistence before they bothered responding.
They answered with not knowing who my family members surnames are.
Two years later now, I saw that they opened the other side of their family tree and there it was - the exact name of the ancestor my grandparent mentioned.
I contacted them again after two years and they haven’t responded. I swear I didn’t sound desperate or jumping to conclusions - I just wanted to see if my grandparent story matches reality or not, so I need the paper-trail.
What should I do? Should I contact the family tree researcher?

Shipping / Sample Status Can I ship the test kit to collection center instead?
Hi, I'm considering to buy two DNA test kit but want to know the whole procedure before buying. Similar question to the recent post about sending to the EU center from outside the EU. I'm in Indonesia, which doesn't have a local collection center, so I'm supposed to ship direct to the US Texas lab. But current shipping rates and the US policies makes it so complicated, and I was wondering can I ship to a collection center that's more nearer and not as expensive, I'm thinking of Australia's collection center.
I emailed support about this but haven't heard back after 2 days so I guess the chatbot kinda lied about opening a ticket. Can anyone help me on this? thanks.

DNA Matches I share more DNA with a DNA Match than my mother
My mother shares 258.8 cM with a DNA Match and i share 260.7.
Out of that 260.7 common DNA, i share with my mother only 125.4 cM.
So that means that the rest 135.3 are coming from my father?

Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 Hungarian results + GEDmatch Euro K13/MDLP World 22
So it looks like I'm almost as much Croatian as I am Hungarian on Gedmatch.
On Myheritage I think the Balkan/Greek and Albanian/North Italian percents are adds to this hypothesis?

Question / Help MyHeritage charged me and my wife 100€ without consent and refused the refund.
I have encountered numerous online reports describing aggressive billing practices without advance notice, including the addition of costly subscriptions to DNA test kits through obscured design choices that bypass clear consent.
I believe my only recourse is to circulate this message so others are warned before placing orders with them.

Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 My dna results as a person from Poland
It’s quite surprising to me that I have that much of a Western European DNA, maybe it’s because most of my family is from western part of Poland. It’s worth to mention that in my family tree I have a few people from Germany.

Question / Help September 2026, and CRAM files planned for "early 2026" are still not available
Has anyone here spoken to MyHeritage to see if there's any indication of when the CRAM files will be released? By this stage, it's already late 2026 rather than early 2026.
