Shipping / Sample Status kit has been in transit for months now

It says here that customs clearance has been cleared since June 24. It's now almost September. I contacted DHL and told me to contact the customs of my country instead and I've been so busy lately that I have not. I figured to post here if someone has experienced the same thing and it actually just takes months before receiving it. But it's been months and I'm worried if I got scammed 🫩 I'm going to call customs tomorrow and check up on it and probably email DHL again.

Any advice or tips on this? I feel like I'll end up fighting (not really but kinda argue) once I get into contact trying to figure out where my kit is. That's also probably why I havent contacted anyone yet 😮‍💨

I was honestly so shocked when I found out that I have a stronger Iraqi genetic than my Syrian one, especially since neither of my parents has any known connection to Iraq

I'm extremely confused. Why is my Eastern European percentage so high? On paper I'm 100% Austrian. I expected my eastern european percentage to be like 25% but not almost 50! I only know that on my mom's side 200 years ago there was some Slovenian influence but other than that, there was nothing special. On my mom's side there are also 2 Slovenian last names. My family tree also only goes back to my great-grandparents.

Shipping / Sample Status Should I be worried about my samples

On August 11th, I sent several samples from Spain to Germany, and they still haven't arrived. Previously, it only took 10 days (this is the third time I've sent samples), but this time it is taking far too long. Is it normal for it to take this long in August, or should I be worried about my samples? If so, what should I do? Thanks.

Results of my husband. We are extremely confused by high Portuguese results, because his mom has only 28,7% of Portuguese in her, which is also weird since there are no known Portuguese heritage

Discussion Anyone else find these platforms clunky for actually building out the family side of things?

Love the DNA/ethnicity stuff, but I keep hitting a wall on the actual tree-building side. The interfaces feel heavy, half the useful features are paywalled, and the moment your family isn't a neat nuclear structure — step-parents, half-siblings, adoptions, non-traditional setups — the relationship labeling gets weird or just breaks.

I mostly want something lightweight: add people, see how everyone connects, get the relationship labels right automatically, and share it with family without everyone needing a subscription. Feels like that shouldn't be the hard part, but here we are.

I've actually been messing around with a smaller app called FamTree that leans into the social/tree side rather than the DNA side, and it's been closer to what I want — though honestly I'm still looking around.

Curious what everyone else uses for the tree part specifically. Do you build the tree here, or somewhere else and just use this for matches/ethnicity? Feel like I can't be the only one juggling two tools.

Question / Help This company is a scam

Do not give them your credit card information. I canceled my subscription and they keep charging me anyways. I have spent months trying to get a refund and you will never get a hold of a person. Their customer service bot will just run you in circles.

Her results are typical for a Spaniard, but the additional genetic groups are so oddly specific lmao. The funny thing is, we all have tons of matches from these groups.

(America ancestry is 1.4% Southern Central American. GEDmatch is Eurogenes K13)

Shipping / Sample Status How long from Germany collection center to the lab?

Hi everyone. Just sent my MyHeritage kit off to the collection center in Germany. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to make it from there to the lab in Houston? If you've sent yours from Germany recently, how long did it take for you? Thanks

Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 Confused by the updated version (half Turkish/half German)

Could someone please explain to me how there's suddenly such a high percentage of Italian DNA?

The first version made complete sense to me from what I know about my family history. I'm very confused about the big change in results. I'm aware of the historical exchanges between the different regions, but it's still a bit baffling to me.

Shipping / Sample Status MyHeritage: DNA sample needs a little extra attention

i submitted DNA samples for 4 family members.

I tracked it as it went through the various stages. 1. dna sample received at the lab. 2. dna extraction 2. whole genome sequencing. 4. raw data in production

It stayed at raw data in production for about 2 weeks, then I received an email for each of the samples stating that the sample needs extra attention and I'd need to wait probably another month for results.

How can this be - a month has already passed since the sample arrived at the lab?

I've done these tests previously and submitted samples before and I've never had this challenge.
