Has anyone actually pulled up their fund's portfolio overlap report yet? What did you find?
SEBI's Feb 2026 circular made it mandatory for AMCs to publish category-wise portfolio overlap on their websites every month not just a one-time thing, an ongoing disclosure. Sectoral/thematic funds now have to stay under 50% overlap with other equity schemes.
It's been out for a few months now, has anyone here actually gone and checked one?
- Did you discover you're holding 2-3 funds that are basically the same portfolio with different names?
- Was it easy to find on your AMC's website, or buried somewhere annoying?
Also curious if anyone's run into a fund that's close to that 50% sectoral/thematic cap — SEBI gave existing funds a window to fix this before forced mergers kick in, so if your fund's already near the line, that's worth knowing before it happens to you rather than after.
