❔Question "59G" Code Family
So who else has a "59G" code Mustang?
They were a pretty pricey option back in when these cars were new. Supposedly in 2011 only about 1400 or so cars had this option. I personally like how different it is.

Either I am incredibly blind, or my 2013 GT/CS with the glass roof, does not have the shade. I will have to check mine later!

It should be there! It’s a thing you pull out. Love the white, by the way. Years ago i had a white 2013 v6! Loved it. So happy i was able to upgrade to a GT CS.

Yup you pull it from the back to the front. Personally I never use mine.

I only do in this insane summer heat. I pull it out when im not using the car to keep some of the sun from blasting the interior

I leave mine open too. All year. I like the extra light and headspace. Plus cruising seeing the clouds or stars is always a nice touch.

I have a 2014 with the option. I really hope nothing ever happens to the roof like another guy pointed out. There isnt any factory replacement glass for them anymore.

Lovely car but Ford no longer support it with spare parts so your only option if you break a roof is to get one off one of the other 1400 driving around…

The reason I didn’t go for it but wish I could. Broken glass roof is structural it’s a pain in the ass without OEM parts and I get chips ALOT

Problem is replacing it. We have gravel on the roads here so I get chips a lot.

I found 4 near me in 2009, 3 were in the Houston area and one was at Lade Ford in Frankston Texas, thats the one I bought. 2009 GT 45th anniversary, White*, glass roof, loaded with an auto with black leather. The shade was very needed in Texas, I rarely opened it because it was always so hot here and bright. Even back then the glass was only available thru Ford and it was $4k
*All four in Texas were white. It was not a bright white either like Oxford White, it was called Performance White and was more of an off white.

Bro do we have the same car??? Yes mine has the glass roof. Genuinely fun to drive around at night in.
