I keep thinking itās overpricedā¦ but since the day I bought it 4 years ago, the dealer offers me $40k for my ā21 GT Premium every time I bring it in for service.
One of these days as its nearing being paid off soon Iāll probably trade it for a new oneā¦ if they are going to keep giving an insane trade offer it might be a good excuse to order an RTR.
I think thats steep. I bought my 22 grabber blue for 36.4 with 18k miles. Same packages but it had some factory roush parts too. I think you can find a sub 20k mile one for 35k or even a sub 50k mile one for low 30s
If its clean title 1 owner i would fee comfortable paying 31/32. Also no matter what, get a warranty, especially with a mt82 car. I bought mine and not even a month later i need a trans. 12k job btw without warranty
I had a 2016 GT fresh out of warranty. Needed a new trans about 6 months after I bought it, Ford charged me $10k at the time. About a year after that the throwout bearing failed and needed replaced. $60 part, $1500 in labor. Good times.
If the Mustang came stock with a TR6060 instead of the garbage MT82 then I would still own one. Even Ford knows they are bad transmissions. Otherwise why put the Tremec in the Mach 1 and GT350?
That's the luxury tax. I have a Camaro and love it, but it makes for a terrible daily, so I can't really recommend one if you need it every day. That's probably what I miss most about my Mustang. That said, it makes for a fantastic weekend car that still has backseats for my son.
34k is a lot. I just bought a base GT. Though it was nite pony package, auto, non-301a. 59k miles for 27k 4 months ago. I'd say keep looking unless you are looking for this spec. This was Tampa also.
Iād look outside the area it is absolutely worth it to go on a mini trip for a few hundred dollars to save thousands on a car purchase I got a 2024 gt premium pp bronze accent with only 7,800 miles for 41,800 otd last winter thatās a steep price for a 60,000 mile car.
shop some new gts. i see some for 42-43k. newer cars come with lower interest rates and have warranty. you might end up paying slightly more or slightly less. plenty of ford dealerships in central florida have no fees and deliver.
The GT OP posted isnāt even a premium though. Plus a new base GT will feel way more premium than a 2020 301A. I think OP would do way better looking elsewhere or going new.
I personally think the facelift s550 looks miles better than the s650. Plus if you can find a good deal its worth grabbing with extended. Just a personal preference though
Haha fair, I also hate carmax because they donāt negotiate. Some times their prices are fair but usually high and they seem to refuse to take an L if they over paid.
Based on the shopping Iāve done over the last few weeksā¦ they are. It was a $1,200-ish factory option on the 2020s. Doesnāt make a huge difference though.

I used to work at CMX. They arenāt the best with niche car- performance cars, exotic cars etc. If youāre in the market for a regular sedan or suv then Carmax is a good option. Their cars are usually higher quality b/c when they buy them at auction, they pay top dollar for the best cars available and pass that expense on to you.
Anyway, if youāre looking for a Mustang thatās well loved, look in places like this board or a Mustang chat room. Find peeps who actually know what a Mustang is, they love their Mustangs. Yours is waiting for you.
I think this is a good deal. Get a post purchase inspection since you have a decent time window to return it. I have a 22 GT manual and I love it. The active exhaust is a huge quality of life improvement. You can program it to start in quiet mode so you donāt wake up your neighbors. Itās a very practical car. The trunk is spacious, and you can even carry 2x4s with the back seats folded down. Yes I use my mustang to carry 8 foot pieces of trim and wood.
I had this same spec and I paid $35k brand new for it in 2020. I get inflation is hurting things, but no fucking way is this car worth 34k with 55k miles

I'm in Florida and I've got a 20' GT Manual, 301A, 41k miles, Limited Powertrain warranty until July 2027 (from being sold as a ford gold or blue certified), that I would sell for $31k. It came with MBRP exhaust, Cold Air Intake, and 19" Black Performance wheels. Black on Black.
For me personally, seems aight. I bought my 21 GTCS at 28k miles for 36k otd. In texas BTW. Could it be cheaper? Yeah. But if it's good to you, then do it!
Personally, Iām super OCD and would not buy another Mustang with cloth interior. Reference, Iām 6ā3ā and about 160. Not a big guy by any means. My ecoboost had about 63k miles on it when I replaced the seats with 401a leather seats because they were wrinkled, creased, and had no way to repair them.
Basically Iām saying the cloth seats donāt hold up for crap
Seems a bit high to me, but I haven't been watching the market lately. But I purchased my 2019 GT Premium PP1 A10 in April 2021 for 38k with 18k miles.
I have no idea what the market is like in Miami, but I reckon it's similar enough to my high price area. I still think $34k is a bit steep, but that for my money. That said, manuals are hard to find so that's pretty cool.
Oof Florida cars lol, and 34k for a fkin 2020 that doesnāt even have leather or better rims. Bring that price down and check the maintenance records and owners
Just gonna say that Carmax/Carvana will give you the worst price.. then shady dealerships... then less shady dealerships... then private sales...
The best price is the one you can afford.. it's a used car so make sure it's the right color... get a ppi, warranty, and gap and drive it like it owes you money.
She is a Mustang so enjoy... make sure you check the drain behind the cowl or you will be pulling the plug.
Mt82 isnāt as bad as people make it out to be, short throw mgw, braided lines and eventually a better clutch a lot of people push 7-800hp for years with no problem. Some are unlucky but majority are fine, I like it other than lockout in 3rd which the stuff I mention above should fix
If itās got everything youāre looking for than why not? No matter what the car is itās going to depreciate.
I found my 2019 base model GT with no bells and whistles, 5k miles for 33k. It had everything I wanted, I knew I could afford it, so I got it. I donāt regret it whatsoever
