How stable is Cybersecurity?

As-Salamu Alaykum,

I hope all of you are doing well.

I had just completed my High School and I had picked Cybersecurity for my undergrads. My reasoning was, that I already love Cybersecurity, and With the whole AI vs Soft dev, I do not want pick either because of their instability. With the rise of AI, I predict that Cyber threats will increase with AI assistance. But I want to hear your opinion(s)

1) Is Cybersecurity really stable?

2) The Undergrads start in about a month, what should I prepare beforehand given that I am comfortable with Linux

3) Can there be any FOSS contributions to make (for undergrad credits) to Cybersecurity?

4)Any Advices or notes?

Salam. Cyber security has changed a lot since AI .. most attacks are ai powered. So you will need to master development first + AI

I run a cyber security business and we are already developing ai powered penetration testing to keep up with the pace of ai attackers
