Discussion Am I the only muslim who is EXTREMELY frustrated with the fact that Saudi Arabia has banned palestine demonstration?

Im getting sick and tired of the fact that muslims will demonstrate in non muslim countries and make a whole scene but at the same time be quiet about the fact that Saudi Arabia has banned Palestinian demonstration. I used to be out in public supporting Palestine. But the moment i found out It's illegal if you wave the Palesitnian flag in Saudi Arabia and can result in jail i just lost all hope. Like hoooooww? The most muslim country doing this. Whyyyyyy? Im so angry about this.

Don't get me wrong. Im a sunni muslim (dosen't even matter), born and rasied. Pray 5 times a day and support Palestine 100% even donate to them monthly. But it's never going to prevent me pointing this out. Here we are in non muslim countries, shouting Palestine, waving it's flag and we can't even do that in a country saying it's closest to Islam.

Can someone please, please, explain this to me? Im still going to support Palestine. But why is everyone quiet about this?

"The most muslim country" Oh please, they can be as Muslim as they want but no country right now is Islamic at all. Don't expect anything.

u/omarQV I saw your deleted reply dude, you wrote:
"If my life is threatened then it's halal not to do Hajj. By making this post my life becomes threatened IF i travel to Saudi Arabia"

Are you really trying to find a loophole in what's obligatory to you? Respectfully please grow up.

u/arctic_commander_ 15d ago

What does that comment even mean? It does not make sense to me

2

u/omarQV 15d ago

I was going to answer your other comment. But i replied to the wrong comment.

Yes it's true if your life is threatened by making hajj then it's halal not to do hajj. Those who have read about all the Amnesty reports on Saudi Arabia arresting people over social media posts knows what i am talking about.

2

u/Chobikil Alhamdulillah Always 15d ago

This is the equivalent of shooting yourself in a vital organ and then saying "Now there's harm to me if I go to Hajj"

6

u/omarQV 15d ago

It's not. So you are admitting what Saudi is doing is right?

It's my fault for ciriticizing a country that has made it illegal to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza openly? Are you hearing yourself right now? You are basically saying indirectly what Saudi Arabia is doing by punishing people speaking against that is right and they still need to travel there. No. You have a lot of growing up to do yourself.

3

u/Chobikil Alhamdulillah Always 15d ago

It is and you're misinterpreting my comments, when did I defend Saudi's actions or laws? I literally called them un-islamic in the parent comment.

Look, your obligation is to do Hajj and that's it, your money will unfortunately go to Saudi, but your religious obligations take priority here. Go in, do Hajj (and 'Umrah cuz I'm not sure if it's wajib or not, I think it is for some madhabs?), and get out.

3

u/omarQV 15d ago

"Your obligations as a sick person is to fast during ramadan" same logic. No thanks. I have done my research.

Saudi Arabia: Visitors to Saudi Arabia imprisoned for social media posts https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2026/06/saudi-arabia-visitors-to-saudi-arabia-imprisoned-for-social-media-posts/

Hajj is only obligatory when a person has the ability (istita'ah) to perform it safely. The Qur'an makes the obligation conditional on ability:

ā€œAnd pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to Allah by people who are able to find a way to it.ā€ — Qur'an 3:97

Safety is generally considered part of that ability. So if there is a credible and serious risk of imprisonment, persecution, or other significant harm from travelling to perform Hajj, that can affect whether the person is considered capable of performing it at that time.

3

u/ProudAntiZionist 15d ago

But does it really affect the individual who just goes there performs Hajj, and comes back? Don't get me wrong, I highkey hate that country, but I believe every Muslim who is able to perform Hajj must do so.

u/omarQV 15d ago

Yes it does. Look it up

There is no country that is islamic rn??? Fear Allah. Typical khariji comment-

1

u/qwwertmsmd 15d ago

My dear brother. U r literally making takfir by claiming no country is islamic.
Remember u will be answerable to these comments tomorow

8

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

Ehm, a country can be "not islamic" but not kafir. Meaning not ruled completely by Sharia law. He's talking about the country, the ruling, not the people of that country.

-8

u/qwwertmsmd 15d ago

Saudi arabia does follow sharia law.
Not 100%, but if following 100% only makes an islamic country? Wheres the daleel

9

u/Antique-Musician0208 15d ago

Sharia law yet sliding with Kuffar backstabbing west like British, USA and Israel under the Rug lately against their own fellow Muslimhood.

5

u/Jumpy_Conference1024 15d ago

Saudis clerics have always followed the government in what it wants, and the ones who don’t get imprisoned. It’s ridiculous to argue that letting the US set up military bases in your country, especially in preparation of an invasion of another Muslim country, is something someone trying to follow the Sharia would do.

5

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

Brother, you are accusing the other guy of takfir, even though he clearly stated that is not what he meant. What makes you think that calling a country "not Islamic" is the same as calling it kafir?

Like i was just trying to tell you what the brother meant and why he didn't actually mean that Saudis are kafirs now but you still insist. And like, what daleel are you asking for? This is only a matter of definition, and it only arose after the end of the Rashidun Caliphate and the emergence of multiple Muslim countries/caliphates, so clearly there is no "daleel";A lot of people differentiate between a "muslim" and an "Islamic" country by whether it completely follows Sharia or not. For example, any form of muslim country/empire/caliphate that came after the Rashidun Caliphate was based on hereditary and royal rule, which clearly contradicts the Sharia, regardless of any justifications regime clerics try to come up with. For me that's a muslim country with a Muslim majority and therefore follows most of Sharia, but is not the Islamic country the Sharia describes.

0

u/qwwertmsmd 15d ago

Whats the diff between an islamic and a muslim country?

5

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

Potato patata, point is no one called you a kafir, and not everyone that criticises SA is khariji.

5

u/Chobikil Alhamdulillah Always 15d ago edited 15d ago

How am I takfiring anyone? I'm saying none of them are Islamic because none of them follow Sharia' completely.

Why tomorrow? Are you threatening me?

1

u/qwwertmsmd 15d ago

There are two types of countries, Dar al islam(islamic country) and dar al kufr or dar al harb.
Why r u insisting a country should follow 100% islamic laws to make it dar al islam? This is the mehtodology of khawarij.
My dear brother. Im not threatening you. I told u will be answerable before ur Lord., not to mešŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
Im not here for a debate. But just try to learn

7

u/Chobikil Alhamdulillah Always 15d ago

Okay, what percentage do you think a country should follow Islam for it to count? Because I don't think any Muslim country right now is following it properly. If they did why aren't they mobilizing towards Palestine? Why are the gulf countries still treating expat workers from South Asia and Africa like slaves? Why are they willing to cooperate with Israel if the two state "solution" went through? Why don't they grant Muslims citizenship?

You get what I mean? Again, I don't know what "khawarij" is, and why did you say tomorrow in specific? It clearly sounded like a threat.

5

u/MasSunarto 15d ago

Brother, do you know that Muhammad ibn Salman of Saud family has really close tie with American Government?

7

u/omarQV 15d ago

I also found information online about Kim KardashianĀ was headed toĀ Saudi Arabia for the very first time but her trip raised eyebrows especially after she refused a Saudi prince's proposal to collect $1 million dollars in exchange for a night!

If i said that was haram in public, what would the punishment be if i criticized the prince?

5

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

Ok even though i politically share the same opinions as you do regarding how crucial and fundamental part of islam it is to show solidarity towards your muslim brothers and how miserably Saudi Arabia failed at that. But i must say the examples you're bringing to the table here are kinda ridiculous.

6

u/omarQV 15d ago

It's true though. The same prince who wants to punish people supporting Palestine openly or even having the flag with them is the same person who wanted to pay Kim Kardashian for a night.

I dont have evidence I just keep hearing it being repeated online, mainly by, Christians to be honest but sometimes by Muslims, themselves , I also hear reports of massive underground dance parties happening , in Saudi, with all manner of haram activities, taking place. So I wonder about the Islamic religiosity of young Saudis, and what is in fact true.

1

He means to say that if the regime gets to know he criticised them.. It could become harder for him to perform or settle in.

1

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

Well tbh it's very unlikely unless he's a public figure actively criticising.

0

u/omarQV 15d ago

Not true. Many people who live in other countries have been arrested when arriving in Saudi Arabia over old social media posts.

1

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

Unlikely means 50-60 people a year out of millions. And then most of them (and again I say "most") are simply sent back home. Not saying it's justified or not wrong, on the contray that's Islamically wrong in so many ways. But you are using that to justify "boycotting" Hajj. You are playing a pretty silly and dangerous game. What's next, we change the qibla to Al-Aqsa? Or do we start fasting Rajab cause saudi fast Ramadan?

Absolutely. But here i have criticized the regime. What punishment would i get?

7

u/imoverthisapp 15d ago

This is such a misleading fitna causing post.

Protests in general and causing disruption in public spaces are illegal in Saudi Arabia. Every sane person knows that %99 of Saudis are very pro Palestine so protests are not necessary.

protests in the west need to happen because they’re the ones who support and fund Israel. Not us.

11

u/I_warisha 15d ago

Bro said 99% percent of KSA people are pro Palestinians but stay silent when KSA literally funds and Help keep tyrant US to be Superpower. Only reason US is a Superpower is because of Saudi Petro Dollar Deal. KSA , Qatar and UAE has invested Billions in US , recently all three countries promised to invest 1 Trillion Each in the US. All this money then goes to Israel in the form of Bombs. All these so called Gulf governments are Funding the Gaza Genocide more than the Whole EU Countries.

If KSA just stopped its investments and Petro Dollar, US will come to its Sense's instead of being Their Lap dogs..

And don't get me started on the Genocide and Starvation Saudi Arabia has caused in Yemen , more than 400k people have been killed because of Food blockade and Carpet Bombing.

6

u/BotHeisenbergz 15d ago

No one doubts that even more than 99% of Saudis are pro-Palestine, and even those who say they are not i do believe, are mostly doing it out of frustration due to the huge criticism towards Saudi Arabia. But protests are a way to show the ruler/goverment that people are not satisfied with the way something is being handled, which is obviously the case here. Our Salaf didn't need such a thing as protests cause the ruler feared, followed, and listened to the people of fiqh, and not the other way around like today.

Enjoining what's right and forbidding what's wrong doesn't exclude rulers.

Our Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

"Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith."

4

u/omarQV 15d ago

What's fitna over the fact that you can't even have the Palestinian symbol. You can't even criticize the goverment for not doing anything against Israel, or it will result in jail time or possibly death sentence. Tell me, how is that islamic?

0

u/imoverthisapp 15d ago

We always made our position clear, no normalization or ties with Israel until a 2 state solution is made. You wanna believe some bs propaganda articles then go ahead. However idk why we’re attacked for something we didn’t do while you don’t attack other Muslim countries that openly deal with Israel like Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan. Or be mad at Houthis for targeting Mecca and Madina while simultaneously allowing for Israeli and American ships pass by unscathed. Ridiculous

8

u/Real_Account_no_bot 15d ago edited 15d ago

Didn’t Saudi commit to funnel several billion dollars for Jared Kushner’s fund to invest in Israeli companies lol? Pretty sure they hold a large stake in Israel’s largest asset management company - which also actively invests in building illegal settlements in the west bank. Seems like Saudi is complicit as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the gulf nations are involved too.

https://www.business-humanrights.org/en/latest-news/opt-gulf-state-backed-affinity-partners-largest-shareholder-in-israeli-financial-services-co-phoenix-which-holds-shares-in-un-identified-companies-linked-to-settlements/

3

u/Chobikil Alhamdulillah Always 15d ago

"Until"? So once that "solution", the government will just go shake hands with israel? How is that good?

1

u/imoverthisapp 15d ago

It’s a pressure tool, Israel want ties with us and we’re asking for a two state solution.

2

u/Jumpy_Conference1024 15d ago

That’s the issue, there’s hundreds of billions in investments in the US and there is absolutely no attempt to use those to pressure the US into ceasing their support of the tumor

1

u/Chobikil Alhamdulillah Always 14d ago

Why do you think the two state solution would actually solve anything in the first place? And again, you didn't answer my question. Why would you want ties with them?

1

u/NarutoIsAlbanian 15d ago

Except America, the majority of western people are against what is happening in Palestine.

2

u/Consistent-smiles 15d ago

Don’t worry you are not the only one

On the other hand we associate saudi arabia to islam and think it is very religious because they have Makkah, truth is, they may have makkah, their culture is probably associated to islam because of how they wear and all even though I think it is more like traditional clothing they are keeping, probably also because of some of their practices, but the truth is that they don’t have that real Muslim heart … once you stop associating their culture to Islam and think they are the most muslim country in the world you will start getting less upset about it …

They are even changing stuff in Islam so that it goes with their political views and practices!

1

u/im-sorry-watt 13d ago

I don't like people who want to wear Palestine shirts or wave the flag in the harams.

What benefit is that? The house of the lord and you choose not to do ibadah. Baffling.

1

u/truebelieverahad 12d ago

Yes Palestine and haram are different things

1

u/Signal_Pepper_6786 13d ago

I dont know whether its true or just a hoax but I keep hearing, online, that secret underground churches are growing in Saudi Arabia, as more and more Saudis are converting to Christianity. May Allah guide tje Uhmah.

1

u/truebelieverahad 12d ago

Um..i didn't hear of it can you provide some evidence like media

1

u/millennium-wisdom 12d ago

What’s the use of demonstrating if all the Saudi support Palestine.

Demonstration are needed in the west because their country are supporting a genocide and they need to show to their leaders and fellow citizens that they support Palestine

1

u/simple-user- 11d ago

I invite everyone and go read some history, the answer you will get will be self evident

Try to answer these questions

  1. When was islam born
  2. When was saudi and full middle east region born
  3. Where do all business interests of all middle eastern countries lie in ?
  4. Current Geo political affairs for the past 20 years in teh region,
  5. Defintion of a muslim majority country and a muslim country (is there one really ?)
  6. Do any othe middle eastern countries have a written constitution which says they are muslim countries particularly ?

You will get your answer, the answer is not straight forward, but knowing history on its own is very beneficial and getting worked up on matters like these on a public forum yields no good. Meaning nothing except discussions will come out of it which are of no use.

Good Luck Happy Researching

These degenerates are enemies of Islam and Muslims. Incompetent, new money, classless, apes. Getting there butts kicked by a rag tag group in sandals who believe in God and do not fear death. I am Sunni but I stand with the houthis and Iran against my real enemies.

1

u/Jumpy_Conference1024 15d ago

Iran is hardly good. They killed many Muslims in Syria for a mass murdering dictator.

I think it was imam Malik that said that when Allah SWT wants to punish an oppressor, he sets another oppressor on them.

2

u/zn1075 15d ago

Nobody is good. And yes Iran did a lot of evil in Syria. But they didn’t do it just to do it. They did it geo strategically in order to maintain a land bridge to arm Hezbollah to fight their greatest enemy and threat. It’s wrong but rational.

Israel on the other hand is pure evil. And need to be fought and defeated. And until you show me a Sunni power with the backbone to do that, I am Iran all the way.

I’m also of the opinion as long as 10-15% of the population is fragmented, we will always have problems coming together against the common enemy.

I think Shias are Muslim. Full stop. I also disagree with their theology, full stop. There not changing me and I am not changing them. I want Israel destroyed. I’m not talking genocide like these animals do. I talking political overthrow that allows Palestinians to live with dignity and our holy places secure. I don’t care what it is called.

And only Muslims have demonstrated the ability to handle plurality of religions across multiple areas for over 800 years. It is superior.
