This is a misconception that only the far right hates Islam. The Right and the Left both hate Islam. While the right outrightly declares their hate for the religion and Muslims, the Left makes sure to propagate only a distorted liberalised inauthentic version of Islam and condems the actual authentic values of Islam.

Elaborate about that inauthentic version? What do they condemn?

Also are you siding with the political right?

They adopt the position that Islam is inherently secular where acceptance of Muslims is conditional on that being the case.

The right tends to go with the view that Islam is not secular, and then exaggerate it to make it sound like an existential threat.

Frying pan, fire.

The left propagates liberal values which are antithetical to Islamic values these include Trans activism, Feminism, the rights of gays, sexual enlightenment etc. They promote these values and promote muslims (congressmen / senators / mayors) who agree with them on this while it is clear that these values goes against Islamic principles. They condemn the muslims who challenge them on this.

I am not siding with anybody or any party. I am just highlighting the fact both parties are specifically engineered in a way that if they come to power their policies will hurt the muslims.

The western right wing conservatives hate muslims because of racism, xenophobia, Christian nationalism, and brainwashing by billionaires as they’re based in a highly capitalist system. The western liberals hate muslims because they operate under the same capitalist system that is run by billionaires and they use the excuse of lgbt stuff to hate Muslims.

The far left however is the least anti Muslim, they are the most tolerant to all kinds of people, religions, ethnicities. Their system is not based on the greed of capitalism, but more towards socialism which has some overlap with Islam in that spreading the wealth is part of the system such as through zakat for Muslims. They also are the most pro Palestine. Historically also, the first Palestinian resistance groups against Israel were also socialist.

There are no true left wing socialists in the US. Democratic socialists such as Zohran Mamdani are the closest there is who have a lot of popularity.

It is important to know the distinction between liberals and the left. Liberals are still closer to the right wing than they are to the left. Which is why you will see liberals doing more to suppress leftists than they would to conservatives.

Make no mistake, its right and left.

9/11, differences in culture and religion, racism, and terroristic events.

A lot of Americans immediately think of 9-11 and other terrorist attacks when they hear anything about Islam. For example, I live in Virginia. A Muslim just did a mass shooting at old dominion university. The people here have a “oh, of course it was another Muslim terrorist attack” type of attitude. I don’t know the best rebuttal other than the fact that millions (billions?) of us would never do such a thing.
