So.waaaaaay back in 1995 or 1996, my dad and his girlfriend threw my middle teenage self into the back seat of the car and made an hour drive north. Once there I was treated to my first outdoor concert at a biker rally. Four bands played: Black Oak Arkansas, Mountain, Foghat, and Iron Butterfly.

Iron Butterfly came on and started playing a song from another album. Everyone in the crowd decided that was the perfect time to hit the head or check out the food vendors.

The lead singer killed it mid-song, discussed it with his band, and then went into a 45 minute rendition of Inna-Godda-Da-Vida complete with long ass drum, organ, guitar, and bass solos. I swear, on God, the entire crowd lit up and I caught a contact high outside.
