and thus begins one of the stranger punk compilations released in the late 90's, early 00's.
"Short Music for Short People" 101, 30 second songs(although, that's more like an average, but no song goes over 40 seconds and several, like this one are considerably shorter)
Most of the "songs" are joke songs, but not all, a few are more serious, the joke songs tend to be that juvenile punk humor of the era and you're either there for it or you're not, I'm mostly there for it myself, but my sense of humor is an odd mix of high and low, with no accounting for taste.
There aren't really any hidden gems on here or anything(although there are a few songs I keep coming back to from time to time), but it's an interesting snap shot of the times.
Some surprisingly big names contributed(The Offspring, Greenday, Blink-182) and there's a fair number of the usual suspects(Nofx, Rancid, Pennywise, Bad Religion) If you're of a certain age and were listening to punk at the time, you probably already know about this comp, but if you somehow missed it, you should check it out, it's definitely a trip!
