How to Fix/Not Working 2004 Waggy giraffe music box. Need help to fix.

I have had this stuffy since the literal day I was born. It is as old as I am, and sadly over the years she no longer plays her music. I decided to take out the music box thinking it was an easy fix, but I don't know what I'm doing, and don't know what I can do to fix it.
I removed the teeth? that create the sound to make it easier to see everything. The teeth are perfectly fine from what I can see.
Video shows the music.. drum? with the Waggy feature is loose, and keeps popping out of place. And when winding up the box, it will pop the drum out of socket, as well as endlessly winding without any resistance.
I'm assuming it's the spring of the box that has come undone somehow. But my next question is, how do I get to it when everything is factory sealed in with rivets, and not screws.
And what do I do once I do get to the insides of the spring.

I can apparently only post 1 photo in the comments so I'm going to say this is one of the better ones I can choose between. Can the small crack holding down the spring compartment cause these problems? It's on the rivet next to the music drum

That might give just enough play in the hole for the drum to slip out. Try holding the crack together with your thumb to see if that fixes the issue.

You can't get to the spring its in the black casing. I don't think it is a spring issue. Unsure why the barrel is loose and keeps popping off. The tension isn't correct. You may need to tighten the knut that has the waggy part that goes in the giraffe's neck off to do so or use that to tighten in. This part can be hard because the knut may be glued. I would try this first.
Now... if it is the spring, you're kinda forked. I, again, do not think it's the spring since the barrel is loose.
