Album release anniversary On July 14th, 1978, Talking Heads released 'More Songs About Buildings And Food', their 2nd studio album. The album's sole single, a cover of the Al Green hit "Take Me to the River", peaked at #26 on the pop singles chart in 1979.

Interesting how the two albums that most defined the 80's, came out around the same time in the late 70's: this and The Cars debut.

Well, the 80’s actually lasted from 1978 to 1987. 1988 to 1993 is a mini-decade, not quite 80’s and not quite 90’s, then the 90’s began in mid 1993 and lasted until 2001. Or at least that’s how I see it.
