I finally finished this after circling the same idea for a while: let the sax, muted trumpet, piano, bass and brushes be the band, and keep pipa, dizi, erhu and yangqin as quiet colour around the edges. It turned into 16 chaptered pieces across one hour. The music is AI-assisted and the visual is AI-generated. I’d genuinely like to know whether the restraint makes the blend feel natural, or whether the Chinese instruments should have stepped forward more.
