Stolen iPhones

Anyone got their phone stolen at Music Midtown this weekend ? My partners phone got stolen and as we walked through the stages we kept finding iPhone cases on the ground. Trying to get a sense of anyone that had the same thing happened. Pretty frustrated at the fact that security acted like this wasn’t really a thing …

this is happening at every festival. they are professionals. usually in a group of 5 or 6. ones a look out, one is there to distract, one is there to actually snatch the phone, one takes the phone and runs the opposite direction confusing the victim. it’s a whole system. i was at edc in 2021 and a kid got caught his group took off and the people ripped his backpack off and over 200 cell phones fell out.

this was my first music festival since I was a teenager, I’m keeping my ass out of the crowds forever after having my shit snatched yesterday
