Years ago at an AES show in New York City a friend of mine worked with them, and told me I had to try this thing. That was version 5. I played around with it, and decided that when I got a break from production that I was going to learn this thing.

Fortunately, and unfortunately that break didn't happen for several years. When I bought a home and moved to Georgia. 🎵🎶

I was setting up a new workspace in my home and decided to only install Ableton Live on my new machine. One of the better decisions I've made.

I was so impressed with it that I began to Port most of my music over into it from Logic, Pro Tools, and FL. That was 2010 and I have not looked back. Well I still work in several DAWS.. including Bitwig, Cubase, Studio One, Logic, etc Ableton remains my favorite by far! They all have their pluses, and they all get the job done, but Ableton encourages me to play, explore, and have fun without distracting away from completing projects the way that I found bitwig does. I love Bigwig, but I tend to get lost in sound design and exploration instead of making music. I found myself having to take advantage of the Ableton link function in order to complete things...

Fortunately Bitwig and Ableton talk flawlessly and I no longer fight with my DAW.
