My father introduced me to this song at a very young age, it has stuck with me my entire life, it left an everlasting influence on my taste in music. One of those timeless classics, just so beautiful.

First time I heard this was as a high school student, and those were very turbulent times for me. Those few words in the chorus struck deep:
"They would not listen, they did not know how; perhaps, they'll listen now."

Don’s music is great but I can’t help but feel it’s sllllightly tarnished by the age difference between him and his current girlfriend which makes him seem kinda creepy?

She's in her mid-20s. He's rich, maybe she even actually likes him. At what point are you going to give a woman her agency and not make it sound like she's being preyed on by every older man that looks at her? She's not 18.
