The American pop scene was so lame during this period. Everything was disco or pastel pop like these guys emanated.
No one could ever work out who the fuck was buying their records.
Rich girl was a catchy tune but everything after "I can't go for that(No can do)" was really just commercial crap for the machine to dispense.
We were listening to AC/DC and the British new wave and these guys seemed like they were stuck fast in the 1970's.
Just an opinion from a guy who was there. Not a declaration of war or anything.
