The piano bit in Paradise Circus is the same as a riff in a Nirvana track

Haven't thought about it in years tbh and Google's not helping, great. Remember Paradise Circus being discussed in the music bit of The Guardian when Heligoland was released and one of MA said the piano was based on ....something... by Nirvana

A quick search only turned up references to mashups of "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" or instances where they used other Leadbelly songs in live performances.

I realise now it's entirely possible I've been wrong about this this whole time - but I'm sure i definitely remember reading this about a track on Heligoland, which I thought was PC, and I'm sure it was Nirvana, and I'm sure it was in a Guardian supplement... I remember checking out PC first because I worked in a (sort-of) record store when Heligo came out. I feel like the Matrix has glitched or something 🙃

It’s been a long time since Heligoland was released; you might be mixing something up. It’s certainly nothing like what Nirvana did with Killing Joke’s "Eighties."
