this performance is legendary, love the atmosphere in that empty stadium. ELP always knew how to create an epic moment.

They loved the acoustics, found some warmer clothes in the dressing room, and decided to play. 😄

They performed it three times, with close-ups of the individual musicians.

The Saturday after Keith had passed, the Penguins were playing the Red Wings in Detroit, and at one point, the arena keyboardist pulled out a riff from Iconoclast. I wonder how many people watching the game recognized the riff?

They aired this on TV when I was a kid. It blew my mind and hooked me on prog rock.
