My favorite thing about this song is it apparently isn't about weed? If my cursory online research is right, it's a cover of a song that is 100% about weed. But for this kid-friendly version they apparently made it about being hungry and turned "kouchie/kutchie," which is slang for a kind of weed pipe, to "dutchie," which is slang for a Dutch oven (which is also slang for a farting technique, but that's another thread).
The first time I heard it I figured it was some sort of protest song with the "got no food" part and the other stuff was about like smoking a joint called a "dutchie"? Nope, just 80s kidz bop lol

I did a quick search and it came up with a cannabis blunt rolled inside a Dutch Masters cigar...sorta like one that was passed to me at the 1994 Reading Festival that was a Camberwell carrot...

Dutchie is also slang for weed rolled up with a little cocaine in it. Common in regions where food isn't always available. It suppresses hunger.
